Does the interchange cap help us?

I just read about the proposed 80 interchanges cap. The question that popped into my mind was does this help us? I think that we tend to be a pretty fit team and as such this rule change could be an advantage when it came to the later stages of the match. However i wanted to get your opinions as i'm no expert.

Ratts said it would help Mclean considerably.

Mclean can run all day with a big tank but is getting done over by interchange players who can sprint faster but for shorter duration.

Capping rotations should also see elite mids shine a bit more as they stay on the park longer. We have elite midfielders so it should benefit Carlton.

It helps if your best midfielders are better than the opposition's best. They'll be out on the ground longer and they won't be tagged as much. The talent difference will show.

Not really. If I recall we had some of the lowest interchange numbers per game.

It'll benefit stay at home forwards and defenders who don't try and run off their man.

Players from the Blues that will be hardly affected are guys like Kruezer, Carrots, Jamison, Walker and Mclean.

The interchange cap will kill the second ruckman.
Sides will go with one ruck and a backup like Leigh Brown
That way they can still devote a large amount of rotations to the midfield and running half backs.
We have strong rucks so it hurts.
Our midfield is "one paced" longer stints on the ground will help us.
Cap will lead to more emphasis on endurance and athleticism.
Key position players will play more match time. Good if ours is winning not so if we're getting spanked.

Not sure there is any need for this.

1. Anything that disadvantages Collingwood is good for us.

2. With less rotations, class will stand out more, and we have real class through the midfield.

3. 80 rotations is still quite a lot, we will easily be able to play 2 ruckmen, especially when one is Matty Kreuzer, but other teams may be less likely to play 2. Our ruck dominance will increase.
