Draft and Priority Picks

i was wondering what the procedure is with priority picks now
if we were to win less than 4 games does that mean we get picks 1 and 2
or has this been changed?

can someone help me out i havent been able to find a thread like this

No.

If you win less than 4 games this year;

You will receive picks 1 (assuming u finish last) and pick #17.

Pick #17 is your priority pick.

If again, next year, you fail to winn 4 games - you will get picks 1 & 2.

Im guessing once we get our injuries back we wont be finishing last another year but 1 and 17 might will help anyway

is it a 2 horse race Kreuzer and Cotchin or is there another chance ?

hmmm, i was under the impression that you recieved the 1 & 2 picks if you won up to - or less than 32points over two consecutive seasons. so if we only win one this season - we could still win 6 next season - and recieve pick one, and wherever we may end up next season

can anyone completely 100% confirm this?

No.

Its 4.5 wins each season.

Kruezer, Cotchin and Masten in my opinion.

Early from our side of it, and what all these kids do over the next 6 months.

I don't think we can say the priority is wrapped up yet with Brown and Simmo hopefully on the way back and might get us over the line in these ones we keep losing under 20 or so pts.

But the No.1 pick looks in the bag!

Im not a draft expert - but from what little I've seen of the TAC and what I've read on various boards, after say pick 5-6ish ... it goes downhill from there.

Then again, one should wait for the Championships beore making an assessement on all the talent.

Theres always a chance of picking up a gem who's been overlooked, later in the draft. This is probably because they are pure footballers and not athletes with maybe one or two crucial flaws that clubs beleive can be corrected.

With pick one we need to pick a 190cm plus gun.
Either a ruckman or KPP.
We need to use this draft to select the cream of the crop and leave them at Coburg to develop.
i quite honestly would be over the moon if none of our 2007 draft picks played over 5 games in 2008.
Its the young fellas from the last two drafts that should be coming through in 08.
