Port - SPS

Unless Setterfield or Perryman have bids in the top 7, this is how I think it might pan out.

Florent could even go earlier than 10. There wouldn't have been a better game all year for him to have such a good game. I think Scrimshaw, SPS, Florent and even Brodie are all in the mix at 10. Brodie the slider for mine but still probably goes top 7.

Taranto had a great game as did McCluggage, & Florent. If Taranto slides to us it will be a great day. Florent and Shai Bolton are the other two I would be looking at, particularly Bolton with his outside speed and class. Florent possibly the safer option being a local boy!

I wasnt that impressed with Scrimshaw he took a couple of nice marks but plays like a real show pony. 3rd tall only I would look at Rotham or Logue from WA, but if we are looking to draft bigger key defenders then Brennan Cox or Garthwaite are the boys.

There will be ruckman late in the draft also if we trade out Longer.

I'd say he's in the 10-15 mark. I'd be surprised if he went before our pick, but that would just push someone else back anyway.

Reviews elsewhere seem to have Florent as a player who needs a little more time to develop. A really nice forward type player with a good sidestep, maybe little like Imp?

He also has Griffen Logue as a possible top 10 pick depending on who's selecting. Didn't play today but we're told there is interest in him from the Saints.

If we got Steele somehow, and Taranto and Scrimshaw are gone, Logue might be a longshot.

Looks pretty good now, racking up plenty of it.
Is only 74kg I think so needs to put on another 7 or so

I think pick 9 or 10 is right on the fringe of getting a very good quality player and from then on its a little rung down on performance and consistency until the mid 20's. I would be stoked if any of English, Perryman or Marshall go before our pick.

ersonally think that if a team gives Florent chance in the midfield he will actually show a lot right away. A little bit like fresh he is just so smart and strong. He is one of the most creative players in this draft. Just doesn't make mistakes

Add Taranto and you have 9. Setterfield and Perryman will more than likely be thereabouts.

... and if you think Florent is now around that mark ....

... then we better keep #10.

Would expect Brodie to go before Taranto, I rate him in the top 3 of the draft - tall,solid with great hands he attacks the ball like a man possessed. The kid is a machine, want want want want want.
