No idea, i get next to no info about draftees. I personally want Brodie. Just the way he moves and keeps his feet screams ELITE to me
I've been pretty impressed with Taranto to be honest, he's a hard nut through the midfield and goes forward and kicks goals.

But if we were to end up with either of those two I'd be rapt!

Well i am happy to listen to those who watch these kids more then i. But from just watching footage of both - Brodie was exciting me:p

Taranto just made me feel like anything he can do Billings can do better

Anything Nathan G Brown can do, Chapman might not be able to... but was still a sick player.

Way different players.
Agreed, But if i have the option of a Chapman or a Fyfe lite then i am going to choose the Fyfe option as it gives us another high quality mid, where as the half forward/Mid is something we have in abundance.

What are the club's views on Sinclair? Are there high hopes for him still, in particular in the midfield?

Highly thought of, but has been told to go develop a tank. We are getting to the point where we can be very harsh on players and what they bring to the side. If Sincs cannot develop as a mid then he probs wont make it.

Well if he is a Fyfe type, for sure. But the headband and hair don't really detail how he is going to develop and drop from the skies like a god, ala Fyfe.

I'd rather have a Paul Chapman running around on GF day than a Tom Ledger

If we get an early pick and take Brodie, I will believe.

The thing that really stands out is that Brodie doesn't go to ground often. That is an elite trait for a mid.

Taranto may be a good footballer. But he didn't appear to me to have an ELITE attribute.

If you pick that high in the draft, you want the bloke that has Elite attributes.

Taranto has had some epic games in recent times. And I'd say his hurt factor and decision making are elite compared to his peers.

You didn't think Seb Ross would turn it on like he has. There is the here and now, and then the science of identifying the progression to AFL footballer, whatever path that is for the specific individual.

It's all about the vision of the next step. We see differently, that's cool.

From a statistical POV, Taranto rated elite for average disposals (26.7), contested possessions (12.8), clearances (5.1), contested marks (1.7) and goals (1.6), this year in the TAC Cup and stepped up in a big way in the TAC Cup finals and also played a ripping game in the All-Stars game.

By all reports, his kicking is meant to be elite, or near enough to it and so importantly, he's also meant to have elite endurance, which seems to be what holds the likes of Billings and Sinclair back.

Also a big bonus is that he comes from a strong basketball background (like Pendles, Dal Santo, Bont, Acres, Roughead, etc), which helps so much with spacial awareness and ability to work through congestion. Plus he is super-versatile and with his endurance and seeing those numbers he posted, I don't see why he couldn't just play permanently in the midfield if that was what his club wanted him to do.

Would be over the moon if we got either him or Brodie this year.

For us, I like that he could be a handful from the get-go.

Gresh, Billings & Taranto would create a tipping point of unique match winning ability.

I love players, and player combinations, that can just disturb an oppositions game plan and have them mentally flat and ripe for the picking (or pounce with a toe-poke :'().

Gresh - side step, insane hand ball, accumulator, goal sneak
Billings - elite distributor, long range goal danger, big snap ability
Taranto - hard at it rover, supreme intelligence up forward

All clean, all dangerous. Yes please.

kicking can be hit and miss has a josh ball drop but because he has good decision making often makes it work. Under pressure can suffer a little my guess is that like Actrs and Newnes with 50-100 games his kick will be good or better then good but can be inconsistent

No to SPP for me. Not the player we're after.
I'd take him at 23 in my uneducated view, would prefer Simpkin/Logue though.

If we get 6 I'll be stoked with Brodie.

Want Griffen Logue!

Huge athletic capacity ✔️
Hybrid (Flexible) KPD ✔️
Ready to go body✔️
Played WAFL ✔️
Great hair cut✔️

Go home factor???
Saints fan apparently aswell

I see Logue as a future mid

If we ended up with 6 and 8. Through trading maybe armo and future first. And maybe a second. If taranto and sps are still there would we take sps first to force freo to take English at 7 then taranto 8? Or do you take Taranto first then scrimshaw at 8?
