Draft Pick 67

Greetings to MFC supporters,

Just wanting to throw some ideas how MFC could use Pick 67. I'm assume MFC will use Pick 1, 17, 19, 35 and 51. How about Pick 67?

1) Maybe pass and use it for PSD?

2) Maybe draft another young player?

3) Maybe draft a young re-cycle player (ie: Tenace)?

4) Maybe add Pick 51 as upgrade to Pick 30's - 40's range?

5) Maybe add a player, for example the club don't need in 2009 (ie: Carroll, White etc) as upgrade?

Should MFC use Pick 67 to make something useful rather than waste it?

Please feel free to input some ideas.

it really depends who is left in the draft, i'm sure there will be a few players the mfc recruiting staff think could be available at that pick who are worth selecting

I doubt that we could upgrade it with 51 to a 30s pick. Maybe 40s if lucky.

I can't see a club being so desperate for picks that they would sacrifice a top 40 pick for 2 picks much later. Pick 67 is a effective useless pick, even if we do any trades for players and we try to throw it in, it doesn't really add any extra value.

Maybe we can give Port pick 67 if Bails is set on recruiting Bentley or we'll give them pick 51 and we might still use pick 67.

We must keep one of our later picks. Someone always slips through - eg. Goudis of 07, slipped to PSD after being touted as a top 20 pick all year.

At every pick Bailey has clearly stated he will be selecting the best player available

Obviously that will also mean its within the youth policy he has adopted

With the depth of this draft i think this is a good plan

Depends how many spots we have after trade week. I think we will have seven.

So picks 1 17 19 35 and 51 are definites. (5 spots)
Wona or valenti of the rookie list (1 spot)
PSD pick (1 spot)

So unless they delist another player, trade 2 players for 1 pick or do not elevate a rookie they may not use pick 67.
