But you could not have predicted that tugga
McKernan was expected to go a lot ssoner than he did.
Also from what i understand Post was always going to beour second pick if he was still available.

Foley has been very much treading water....in fact based on 2007 to now i think he is in danger of drowning.
Delidio has not come on as much as a lot would have liked but at the same time his performances are well above what we are getting out of Foley so far this season.

Just on that, what the hell happened to Foley's afterburners? He used to blast out of packs, all of a sudden this year he's gone back to hot potato handpasses and nothing kicks.

Unbelievable how Foley is targeted and mentioned as trade bait! This time last season he was virtually untouchable and now he's in danger of drowning, traded, dropped etc!... You need to understand our depleted on ball department haven't played with with Cotchin, Cousins, Coughlan even Johnson! An accurate judgement can only be made when we have most of our onballers on the park as meaning less pressure is placed on the individual.

From what I've heard around the traps Foley has been playing injured. Sort of thing that if it was round 12 we would be seeing him out for a couple of weeks. Certainly explains to me why he's lost the afterburners (ankle that he picked up in preseason).

Even if my info is wrong there's no point in trading Foley. He is one of our most important players and a proven accumulator of the ball. It is unlikely, unless we could somehow get Scully, that a draftee would be an upgrade on him. One of our only players with currency however.

I look back to the state game last year as just an example of how damaging he can be. Is one of those players however that will struggle when losing their pace as the opposition tagger often has a height and weight advantage.

Thanks for that Just curious as to what sort of midfielder Scully is. Is he a smaller clearance player like Sam Mitchell or Mark Coughlan, or is he more of an athlete type like Lids?
