Sando said last night he thinks we're every chance to take Hibberd at 9, seems a bit high given he's an over ager, surely that puts him at a bit of an advantage??

They were also pumping Rioli's tyres up big time on the back of his combine results suggesting he might even go 1st round, he's a small forward FFS that in his games for the Rebels shows flashes of brilliance, in his nine games in the TAC he made the bests on one occasion only, outstanding with his forward pressure and tackling, but first round surely not?? Maybe it's the romance of the Rioli name??

I agree. Great football pedigree but the lad needs to make his own way and name.

Overagers always go a bit later in the draft than they're expected, as do Tasmanians. I'm guessing he'll be there at 13 but will he be there at 28?
Prob gone by 28 and should be there at pick 20 which love to get from Carlton as part of kerridge deal

If we trade picks 13 + 28 for 5; and Kerridge + 32 for 20 and end up with picks 5, 9, 20 & 68 I would be stoked if we picked Parish, Weideman/H.McKay, Bonner and Hartley. I don't that is too unrealistic either (except for maybe the Kerridge + 32 for pick 20 trade).

Darcy Parish would be an unbelievably good fit for our list!

Would be very happy with that. Parish & McKay would be perfect. Bonner I'm a big fan of and I think Hartley would suit needs well.

Might need to offer Carlton Kerridge + Wright + 32...

Just rewatched the Aaron Francis highlights. This time with a semi-realistic view of him being a crow.

Ridiculously exciting.

Make it happen.

Wouldnt touch Hibberd with a 50 foot pole.

Injury prone, inconsistent kick

I'll trust Ogilvie and co on the "injury side" of things, IF they are considering Hibberd they will be sure to have done all the background checks and due diligence in that facet of his draftability and I must say you are the first to even question his kicking efficiency, most reports I've read have him in the "elite" category?

I watched the highlight before any talk of upgrades and my initial reaction was WOW! A Goddard type that can play anywhere. Was good in the midifeld, great in the back half and a difference maker inside 50 (even though he was missing gettable shots on goal).

A really exciting prospect. All things being equal will be a star.

I can see him going pick 3 or 4
I assume thats the case, but we'd definitely be in the game... He may slide due to tweener size...

Absolutely. Just a really exciting prospect.

Should be a pleasure watching his career, wherever he plays.

I'm really coming around to the idea we may take Ryan Burton with our 2nd pick if Francis isn't available with our 1st.......of course if their confident Burton's broken leg isn't to be a problem going forward??

Of course this probably may not apply if we uptrade to pick 5.

Is he the guy that is injury prone and not a good kick? We've got a few of those.

If no club is brave enough to take Burton before 28 I sure hope we are. No earlier though.

Was very good in the draft kicking test. But in game situations is quite inconsistent. Dangerfield like. Will kick some that leave you saying wow. Then others that leave you saying wow for the complete opposite reason.

Too late for that. Interviews have been and gone

Hopefully he walked into them wearing an SA State guernsey, eating a pie floater, drinking a Farmers Union Iced Coffee, and with a bag of Fruchocs hanging out of his pocket.
