Won't work. You only have 20 trades - I doubt many 'rookies' are going to get around the 400K price to swap for a Cox or Bartel. You'd get maybe 13 guns. Most teams by round 11 have about 13 guns anyway. Plus what's to say that all 29 players will improve in price? Lets say 20 of them do. That still means 9 don't - and if you need to trade to 'guns' you have to trade out the ones that are actually doing well. ahaha leaving you with 13 guns and 17 duds.

Last year after I was one player short (I swapped a rookie at the last minute).
It removed the old rookoe but didnt replace with the new one.
It then wiped my entire team.

I assume if you submit 29 players they will do the same and remove your entire team and kick you from all your leagues?

If the count clock hits zero and you only have 29 players in your team then when you log in you have zero players. That's why last year a lot of people lost there teams because they were trying to do last minute trades and the server wasn't loading quick enough. They only had 29 players listed.

if the squad is stuck on 29 players you should be able to make as many changes as you like without costing you a trade.
what's stopping anyone changing the 29 players to another 29 players week-to-week. i mentioned waiting 10rds for your players to max out. another alternative would be swap all 29 players for another set of 29 players who you think will improve in price over the very next round. then, after you've captured the best price-rises, exchange for another 29 players ready to jump in price. do this before each of the following weeks: rd3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. you could make millions.

then, simply lock your 30man squad in and you're away.

It is a truly brilliant idea if you could pull it off. You would hope VS do not see this and somehow change the eligibility to win the weekly prize.

Personally I would never do it as I will be striving for overall ranking and would be rather pissed off if my legit weekly score was beaten by this method.

I agree with Butande and Decipher, they will wipe your side if you dont have a 30 man squad which is saved. If you only have 29 players. The next time you log in you will have to reselct all your players again.

My squad had 29 players. The entire team was wiped clean.
Last year, VS kindly reinstated my team minus forwards which I repicked and put me back into leagues. I however scored 0 for that week.

well go pick your 29 players now and save , your team SAVES and does NOT restart to 0 players , i did do this last year for 4 weeks and then went after the weekly and highest i got was top 20 , so if i did it longer who knows and i could of pulled it off for more then one week

big guns cost around 400k
you want 22 guns. that's 8.8mil
plus 8 cheapies 86k (set to rise in value ). that's roughly 700k

9.5mil, and you've got a SuperTeam with 20 trades in hand.

which means you need to make roughly 2mil with your "rotating" 29 cash cows.
if you're allowed to keep swapping players you could do it in less than 10 weeks.

yeah i dont see why not , cause you havent locked your team in , most i every made was about 12 in one week , but then i wanted to lock it in and try to go for the weekly , when i should of waited

As long as you saved in these 29 players they will be in your team for however many rounds you decide. Now, having an incomplete side allows each week for you to make "unlimited changes" to your side (similar at the moment).

Now when the prices change round 3, if most of your 29 players were rookies, then you will find they would have gone up in price (providing they play). Remeber at this stage you can still make "unlimited changes", but this time the player who was 84,000 is now about 100,000 which gives you 20,000 extra salary cap. Do this with several players over a couple of weeks, and you could easily have an extra mill on the original cap to make your unlimited changes (or a new sqaud)

and you don't have to go with 86kers all the time either.

suppose Scott Gumbleton (86k) posted scores of rd1 25pts, rd2 30pts
and suppose Ryan Murphy (170k) posted scores of rd1 110pts, rd2 120pts

if you wanted to, you could swap Scott Gumbleton for Ryan Murphy just before the rd3 lockout to collect Murphy's inevitable price-rise.

if you study the break-evens diligently, you should be making 10-20k on each player. you're looking at roughly 435k profit each round. you can make over 2mil by the end of rd7 if you keep swapping in players set to soar in price. i definately think a team of 22 guns + the best 8 cheap reserves is achievable by rd8.
