AFL Club
Carlton
Other Teams
Manchester Utd, SF 49ers, Rovers.
With the Fev saga pretty much done and dusted it seems.....

I personally think it would be a good move to go after David Hale.

He is still young and a forward line of:

HF: Yarran Kruezer Waite
F: Betts Bradshaw Hale

would be fairly potent and make it tough for opposition backs to target one player as in the past with FEV.

Would our second round #27 do the job??

i like this very much. gives us a heap of options down forward and i think would work very well.

Cam Cloke already fills the "makeshift forward who's not mobile enough to play ruck" role.

Not saying Hale (don't know much about him except for that purple patch he had at FF) BUT Cam is a bloody ordinary footballer. I prefer Carlos because he at least throws his body around

I agree with you on Cloke. Prefer Setanta to both of them because like Cloke, Hale gets run off far too easily when played in defence. Really struggled this year even though he had a heap of footy directed at him.

Pass.

sympathy post

Hale has to be the worst player in the AFL....after the richmond list of course

I don't think Hale is as bad as some in this thread are making out.

But, I did catch his game on weekend and I don't think he is what we need.

Rhys Stanley from St Kilda is more what we need: agile, fast and tall.

RS is a superstar and foil for Kosi and Roo after two practice games.

Hampson>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Stanley.

Seriously TG your rating of Hampson as a FORWARD is very inflated, don't have a problem he has a potential to be a ruckman but what indication he has shown that he would be a forward at this level on a consistent basis not a one off occurence.

Stanley looks more composed than Hampson.

Yes, I know its only been 2 praccy matches .. but he looks a good option as a KPF given the way he moves.

.. plus he also marks the ball.

I should apologise for supporting a Carlton player and not jumping on the bandwagon for the latest Feb. champion...

Stanley isn't Naitanui.

Stanley will be their second ruckman once Gardiner and King move on.
Stanley >>> Hampson
In marking possibly, but not ruck play and talent.

PS. LoveMyBlueBoys is after you...

Stanley holds his marks, but he has nothing on Hampson for speed and agility.

Hampson will get there.

Stanley is the fastest player in the AFL. He won last years GF Sprint

So you really think the fastest player in the AFL runs 11.33 sec for a 100m sprint :o

How is running 100m in a straight line relevant to being a good footballer?

They don't even do it at the draft camp, they do 20m sprints, repeat sprints and agility tests.

The only reason you bumped this thread was because you wanted to continue your sniping at Poo Monkey from the thread about Wayne Hughes getting it right with Mitch. Get a life.

11.33 sec on grass in boots for 100m is pretty good in my book

Now remind how this thread relates to Mitch, and also tell me where I differed from Poo Monkey on the Mitch issue, and therefore, tehn tell me why it is sniping when you agree with someone?

11.33 seconds is a solid jog for professional athletes you clown.

You went on that thread to bitch at him, failed then bumped this thread to have another go. Silly thread that was better off left where it was.
