wind waker hd - i loved the gamecube verison; main improvement i wanna see is that they make the sailing a bit less tedious.

They have added in a quick-sail function. Aonuma said in the developer direct that the reason they didn't so this in the original was because the world wouldn't load quickly enough - you'd fall off the edge of the sea.

Yeah all very true, I was just reading the article on this exact thing how they weren't ready for HD. Really they should have been planning much earlier but ahh well they made a mistake, shit happens.

I guess its just a bit of short term pain for us fans, for long term gain.

But seriously where did Nintendo pull this from?!?!?!

Wow!

And I think its fair to say they have their first legitimate system seller in X, massive world, crazy guns, crazy swords, huge monsters and... massive flying/driving transformers?!? wot

Its all up from here :) and yes my mood has changed a LOT since last night with a decent sleep on it haha

Still not going to be happy until I get an F-Zero but :( and some real new IPs over the life of the Wii U would be welcomed too!

Not really E3 related:

http://www.edge-online.com/news/e3-...ar-policies-across-both-consoles-say-sources/

Several development sources have told us that they expect game publishers to implement similar DRM policies across Xbox One and PS4, despite what has unfolded at E3 this week.

Our contacts described Sony’s conference announcements as a PR play, and revealed that its decision to go DRM-free was made at the very last minute.
Each platform holder’s DRM policy has changed continually over the last few months, they said, though Microsoft’s initial stance was much tougher than its position today. This suggests that the platform holder’s decision to let publishers decide for themselves whether to implement DRM on Xbox One was not part of the original plan.

Ultimately, the developers we spoke to understand the need to protect the revenues made on their work, and expect to see broadly similar DRM restrictions across both PS4 and Xbox One – in one instance, it was suggested that these measures were essential for the console business to survive.

We were also told that final publishing agreements will not be drawn up for at least another month, so the terms of engagement could yet change once more before each console launches at the end of the year

Nothing else on that don't care list was much chop.

Kingdom Hearts III looked fine and is a sequel many have been waiting 6+ years for (probably 8+ by release).

Titanfall looked great fun, crisp with some great gameplay mechanics.

Wishful thinking by Edge, found this quote by Sony

"The Online Pass program for PlayStation first-party games will not continue on PlayStation 4. Similar to PS3, we will not dictate the online used game strategy (the ability to play used games online) of its publishing partners. As announced last night, PS4 will not have any gating restrictions for used disc-based games. When a gamer buys a PS4 disc they have right to use that copy of the game, so they can trade-in the game at retail, sell it to another person, lend it to a friend, or keep it forever.”

Bolded is the worst 3rd parties can do, the PS4 is not built to have any restrictions enforced for disc based games, online blocked by a key or pass, sure, no different from this gen)

EA has also been quoted as saying they have no problem with how used games are handled today (but being EA i wouldnt take that quote too seriously)

and a link for clarification by Sony

Only Online MP DRM is possible.

Yeah but that's completely up to the third party if you don't agree with DRM don't buy games from companies that use it.

Sony doesn't have DRM but they cannot prevent other companies from using it. And honestly how many games will use it?

The only shit thing is pay to play online sorry Sony I won't be upgrading until the games I want are no longer offered on PS3 the reason I jumped back on Playstation was I got sick of paying M$ money to play a game online considering
1. I bought the console
2. I bought the game
3. I pay for the Internet
4. I don't have a lot of time for gaming nowadays and play maybe once a week.

I fully expect Online Passes to be something we will cop as PS4 (maybe Wii U) users from third parties.

To be honest it's something I am fine with as long as it's reasonable in pricing. Buy a game second hand then pay a $10 fee for Online Access is something I can deal with.

Microsoft's terrible system is something I am not.

I agree Publishers and developers have every right to a percentage of used game profits the retailers make, but this shouldn't be force and come at the cost of the consumers freedom.

I've got no issue with developers making some money from a 2nd hand sale, but should a car manufacturer get a cut of the sale of your car once you sell it?

How about that clothing label when you sell your jumper?

It seems that only the game industry thinks the original seller is entitles to a cut. They made their money when they sold it to the retailer. Why should they get more?

Wouldn't be such a problem if the retailers didn't always try sell used games over new, under selling the people which keep you in business is only constant in the video game industry. Comparing used games to used cars though somewhat similar isn't entirely fair, I don't see car manufactures being threatened for from piracy, different market and circumstances and should be treated as such.

Should be Nintendo's last console imo.

Of course they should still remain (and be leaders) in hand held consoles.

But I believe they would be much better of bowing out of the console battle and focus on developing great games (and accessories maybe) for the other platforms.

donkey kong - i agree with whoever said they are over side scrollers. i know it was rare but i wanna see another dk64 type game. walnuts peanuts pineapple smells
curious isn't it. A 3D DK game would have made a lot more sense and been more likely to be a system mover.

Looks like it would be thoroughly uncomfortable to use, not unlike the ps3 controller

Now you're cheer leading. The Dualshock 4 is an all new controller and it's dimensions are totally different to the Dualshock 3.

It looks like Next gen games will have a lower RRP at launch than the 360/PS3 had

Activision have announced an RRP of $99.95 for Destiny

pantskyle

Yet Gamestop has games for $59.99. Australia r*ped again.
