I was going to post a poll for who people think the best ever West Coast player is, but I just wanted to make sure I had no oversights first, The list I have for guys is currently:

Anyone in and anyone out??? David Wirrpunda seems a bit young and inexperienced for this list just yet. Maybe Don Pyke or Craig Turley?? David Hart??

while all the others are very very good i wouldn't think they good out do these guys in the best ever. most popular maybe but not the best.

Spot on. Best player would definitely come from above list. Could probably take out Worsfold - now that would probably be a first! (Hehehe )

Yeah just put the shortened list in, because when you get the big list people just vote for their "favourite" player, and skew the poll. If we have less options the poll would be more accurate.

best player would have to be roo, his runs on the wing during the early ninties were exhilarating!

I reckon you go with the smaller number. They are the ones who will get the votes, and will be better having less to vote for than more so we get a true indication of who everyone thinks is best.

For mine it is easily Roo, now my fav "past" player

I'd add Chris Lewis to the list. Absolutely mercurial! He never get's mentioned in all those best aboriginal players to play the game type threads or articles. Had he played for a Melbourne side though....

Absolute class player.

The same can be said for Peter Matera, Guy McKenna etc

They all wouldve been much more highly recognised playing in Melbourne than Perth.... one or two might've even got a Brownlow Medal out of it

As this hasn't turned into an official poll yet, I'll throw my vote at Bluey McKenna.

The side always looked a class above everyone else when he was directing traffic in the backline.
