Pretty bloody good work overall...I've just had a quick look at your board to see how it went down and here are my thoughts.

13 - Best available, great choice. Monocle and avishka5 Especially would be elated to put it mildly.
22 - Interesting choice but quality...He plays a position we have a lot of depth in although is the best rated in his draft by that position. Great kicks are always wanted however I would have preferred Worpel or Kelly
27 - What a steal. Best available (although again I really do like Worpel too)
34 - Boom or bust pick, I'm not a fan of players without football smarts but I can see why you'd take the risk although he's not my cup of tea at all...My risk pick would have been Moore here.
40 - Logical choice and a position of need although again I'm not a huge fan.
67 - As good as any specualtive pick this late although perhaps a ruck would have been nice.
87 - Don't know shit about Butts but I'll give him a thorough examination.

Butts is a very good prospect and at 87 he would be an absolute steal.

At the risk of holding things up, Richmond bid on Tyler Brown. Over to Falco to decide whether Collingwood match.

Ok let's say Collingwood match.

Richmond take Nathan Krueger.

Unless we can pump out 5 picks in 30 mins, I'll have to take mine tonight after work.
Miguel Sanchez must be thinking long and hard about the Tigers next picks.

You can PM your preferences to me if you like, I won't read it til after I've taken my pick.

I'll do a quick recap too:

41 - Jackson Ross. I didn't want an outside flashy type. Good Coast have enough of them really. But no one else was really available with such a high ceiling.

50 - Bailey Fritsch. Again, I didn't really want this type but he seemed best available. A good record from those who have won the best young VFL player award.

54 - Cassidy Parish. His kick is a worry but he will work hard and potentially develop into a useful inside mid.

"Continuing his consistent form through the midfield, Cassidy Parish, 190cm, 84kg, contributed 24 disposals, 13 kicks (11 efficient), 17 contested possessions, five tackles, 10 clearances, two goals and two score assists against Oakleigh at the weekend.

Parish -- brother of Essendon young gun Darcy -- is one of this year's most advanced midfielders with his stoppage work up there with the best in the draft. It is not difficult to see why, with Parish consistently getting to prime position at stoppages and winning first possession.

Parish at the moment is a single position player, with his effectiveness coming at stoppages through the midfield. His kicking has been classed by many as inconsistent and his pace is only average. Given this, Parish is thought most likely be drafted in the second or third round.

What Parish may benefit most from adding to his game is improved reading of the drop of the ball and overhead marking. There were two particular marking contests against Oakleigh where Parish chose not to contest balls that dropped from a considerable height. At 190cm, without a second position, if Parish can develop a greater confidence attacking the high balls and mark some of them, it will add considerably to his game and allow him to be more effective when pushing forward or back, while also benefitting him around the ground in general play."

GWS - Pick 56
Liam Ryan (looks like I have my favourites, yes he is a marking forward but has speed and can crumb)

He's just too good for me to pass up at this stage. (I'm def in the pro Ryan camp, he's turned a corner and only going to get better in an AFL system)
This was a really difficult pick for me, I had changed my pick 3 times before finally settling on Ryan
I know some people wont like it and I don't give a turd.

Write up to follow a draft conclusion.

Every one of the Eagles draftees has a Y in their surname

Suppose I should do writeups for Richmond's picks.

17. LOCHIE O'BRIEN (outside mid, Bendigo Pioneers, 184cm/75kg)

Took him as simply the best available at this point. A left-footed outside accumulator who models himself on Gaff, O'Brien was an All-Australian and could contribute straight away at AFL level, although he might have to bide his time if he ends up at the premiers. Biggest knock on his game is that he's very outside, but Richmond have plenty of aggressors already.

20. NOAH BALTA (key def, Calder Cannons FF, 194cm/92kg)

Went for a tall after going small with the first pick and with Naish coming up. Was tossing up between Balta and Hayes and then the latter got taken off the board to make the pick that much easier. Balta's biggest weapon is his athleticism. He's also able to play at either end having played mostly as a forward prior to this year, but is taken here largely as part of the Tigers' succession planning for Rance. If he shadows Rance and learns everything he can off him then he'll go a long way.

21. PATRICK NAISH (father-son selection, small fwd/mid, Northern Knights, 181cm/69kg)

Probably unlikely to go much earlier than this but I did expect to have to match a bid using the Tigers' pick 25. Naish played mostly midfield in the underage comp but is likely to start his AFL career as a forward, where he'll be looking to join the Tigers' mosquito fleet of Rioli, Castagna, Butler etc etc.

53. NATHAN KREUGER (utility, South Adelaide, 196cm/89kg)

Wanted a tall at this pick and had my eye on De Koning who went just before. Didn't really like any of the other tall prospects so decided to take a punt on Kreuger who is 6'5" in the old language but is a bit of a Brent Staker type in that he's quite athletic and agile but possibly not cut out to be a key position player. At this point in a reportedly weak draft you're not going to get a perfect prospect so you might as well pick up a kid with oodles of potential and just cross your fingers.

55. ADAM SAMBONO (small fwd, NT Thunder/Darwin Buffaloes, 184cm/79kg)

Another late-draft punt on an exciting prospect, Sambono is 20 years old but a relative latecomer to footy and tore up the NEAFL this year kicking nearly three goals a game.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the balance taking two talls (one genuine tall and one utility) and three smalls. I would've liked some ruck support for Nankervis and a key forward to bring through as I think that's where Richmond's list needs beefing up, particularly with Elton having been delisted, but there just wasn't an option available that I liked so it'll have to wait for the Superdraft(tm) next year.

Sumich rates starcevich. Saying injury and fitness held him back. Reckons he is Dangerfield like.
I'm a big fan of his- I think he's got a lot of potential. If we managed to snare him with 32 or 37 I would be very happy. He's become my favourite from this draft.

I can see him becoming the Elliot Yeo full time midfielder we all want to see- similar sort of dash, just maybe not as good overhead. Good size as well. Granted, he would have some work to do, but it would be nice to pick him now before he does this at another club and we cough up a late 1st rounder to get him home in a few years.

Pick coming up in a minute. Talent really drops off after the first 37. ;)

Looks like time will expire before NM have another pick. I case it doesn't, just a warning that I'll be in transit to and around NZ, so there's very little chance I'll be able to take a pick. Miguel Sanchez - if it gets to me, I'd like to redraft Drew Petrie and Brent Harvey, with sincere apologies to both gentlemen.
