That's not too bad a side, and we still have Banfield, Donnelly and McIntosh to come back. But our confidence has seemingly taken a battering and it will be tough to come back, even if we can post a full strength line-up.

McIntosh still not back :( . This will be his last year I feel unfortunately. Our backline is too short but other than that the team looks pretty good on paper. WCE2000, donnely wont be coming back, trust me!

The West Coast Eagles have a real chance to break their record losing streak when they take on Collingwood at Colonial
Stadium this Friday night. And if they don't want the season to be a complete waste of time, they'd better take it.

The injury list, at one stage standing at fifteen, is now back to six. And with
three of those out for the season, that's probably about as low as it's going to
get.

So the time has come for the Eagles to start performing - they have close to a
full strength squad to pick from, and there's no reason they can't match it with
a team like Collingwood. The players just have to want it.

Co-Captain Dean Kemp returns to the team this week, along with Chad
Morrison and Darren Glass. Glass hasn't played for the Eagles since breaking
his ankle in Round One, and will be a welcome return.

Despite hopes that Ashley McIntosh would play this week, he hasn't been
named and will have another week to recover from his thigh strain. His
continued absence means that the inconsistent Trent Carroll will again have to
hold the backline, and his form this week will be important to the Eagles
chances.

Other important matchups will be David Wirrpunda on Brodie Holland in the
back pocket, and the Eagles half back line, where Michael Collica, Glen
Jakovich and Peter Matera will take on Glen Freeborn, Anthony Rocca and
Jarrod Molloy.

In a piece of good news for West Coast fans, Collingwood captain Nathan Buckley has not been named in the Magpies team.

The Record: West Coast have played Collingwood 24 times. The Eagles have
won 16 times, Collingwood 7, plus one drawn match. Collingwood haven't
beaten the Eagles since Round 13 of 1994.

Why was Morrison dropped. The week before he got dropped he racked up 19 possesions against Carlton, which is pretty good considering we got wasted by 119 points.
He also got 80-odd points for the fantasy football competition, which is an allright performance. Seemed a pretty strange decision to me that one, but hopefully he will come back with a head of steam.

If ever Darren Glass had a chance to make his mark as a key defender, you'd have to think this is it. No McIntosh, Jakovich likely to be pushed forward, and recognised forward targets to be played against.

Where's Sierakowski just when you need more height???? Damn Steven King, damn him to hell...

isnt it funny how things change 5 years later

Even odder is how you spent the time bringing it up. However it does show that people on this forum who go on about 5 year plans can be mistaken. 8 of the players in that side are still in our best 22, Embleys role has completely changed, while Wooden cant even get a look in
