5 - Dean Cox (huge game - particularly in the second half. points victory in the ruck, but a knock out victory for round the ground work)

4 - Chris Judd (did what he always does, but it was definetaly the most four quarter effort of his career)

gets hard after this. make a case for about 10 players for the final 3 spots.

3 - Phil Matera (5 goals, looked dangerous all day, and probably coulda get another couple with some luck)

2 - Chad Fletcher (did everything we'd expect of him. Ran hard, linked up well, and he's kicking was back to its best)

1 - Callum Chambers (played his best game with us for a long time. Kicked some good goals (i think he ended up with 3), and got a fair bit of the pill)

Daniel Kerr coulda easily got a vote or three (in fact won't be suprised if he ends up in the top 2 from quite a few people).

Ben Cousins really lifted in the last quarter and a half, just like a true captain does.

Adam Selwood didn't get the numbers some of the others did, but he was there in the crucial stages.

Andrew Embley fought out a great battle with O'Loughlin. Hard to say who won, but he's rebound off half back was awesome.

Glen Jakovich!!! what a legend. Great start, but faded out of the game but who cares. The great man is always gonna be in our memories.

Brett Jones was superb for the first half or so, but spent most of the second on the bench?? Not really sure why, because i had him in our top 5 or 6 for the first half.

5. Judd. His best match since round 16 last year against the Lions
4. Fletcher, welcome back to the team Fletch
3. Cox, his best game for a while
2. Kerr
1. Cousins

Staker keeps developing and another quite good game. Still makes some silly mistakes that become turnovers, but that will improve with experience.

I was impressed again with Selwood, Nicoski and Jones. They will all become important players, particularly as they get experience.

Gotta go. I will comment more later in another post.

None, there was nothing in it, it was a fair hip and shoulder, its the way kirk went down that made Kerr get reported

He should be cleared by monday morning.

Nup

Kerr jumped into him and kirk already had his head on a tilt as he came down, kerr clipped the top of his head and so the head jerked to one side.

5 Judd
4 Cox
3 Fletcher
2 Cousins
1 Jakovich

Kerr and Matera also deserved votes yet I'm telling it as I saw it.

I'm happy that the boys did it for not just Glen but for the club and us supporters.

Jones, Gasper, Selwood and Staker continued their development and were really one of the major factors in our victory. These boys fire, it gives us balance and we are a better team, these boys have cemented themselves in the 22 now IMHO.

Chick should come in next week.

Glass did his best. Not many can beat Big Bad Bustling.

Lynch can be used in both KPP roles, finally the options are presenting themselves yet one Andy McDougall should be sent to the WAFL.

Jako gave me a grin from ear to ear and also a tear.

5. Judd - electrifying, but his work under the packs was the sealer
4. Cox - what more could you ask from the big man?
3. Kerr - yet another brilliant contribution
2. Matera - played the game he likes to play and it showed
1. Jakovich - OK, mostly out of sentiment, but he did kick three early

Unlucky:
Fletcher - excellent return to form for Fletch.
Cousins - captains performance after 1/2 time
Chambers - best game in two years IMO
Braun - I keep leaving Brauny out of my votes, I don't know why!
Staker - took eight marks and provided a good target. Goal kicking practice for you son.

Jones, Selwood and Nicoski all looked pretty good, although with the senior players putting in more they didn't have as much to do this week. Gaspar looked the goods in the second half.

5: Judd - Man this guy is something else. Got tagged by Crouch and still got best on ground.

4: Fletcher - Nice return to form.

3: Kerr - His handpasses always sets up a team mate in space.

2: Matera - Does what de does best. Crumbing goals.

1: Staker - Backs up his rising star nomination with another good game.

I feel some of cousin's turnovers were costly and thus he didnt get any votes.

5: Judd - Everytime he gets the ball, you know something's gonna happen
4: Cox - He's adding an around the ground presence to his rucking. When Gardi returns, he won't have to play off the bench
3: Kerr - Bloody fast bloke. He's our handball version of Judd.
2: Gaspar - Took several contested marks, and had atleast 2 goals robbed off him by the umps.
1: Fido - Makes the most of his opportunities. Kept us in it in the 1st qtr, and didn't make too many leads :D

Just a note on Cox. He did have a very good game but i didn't think he rose much above expectations given that Goodes was injured in the first few minutes.

You're kidding? Goodes hasn't really been rucking for Sydney this year, so effectively Cox was up against their #1 ruckman in Ball. Cox had 20 touches, 10 marks and 27 hitouts, thats bloody good in my books.

Do you delibrately go out and post the exact opposite of what everyone says, from posters to commentators, or are you just desperate for attention?

No one's mentioned Nicoski and Jones. Although not in the best five, both showed a fair bit today. Wouldn't be surpised if Nicoski gets the Rising Star nom this week.

Cox - thought he started off really ordinary around the ground and in the ruck, but played himself into very good form. Let's hope this match is a confidence boost for him.

5. Judd - Brilliant four quarter performance. Great work under the packs. Simply awesome.
4. Cox - Got better and better as the game went on and just worked really hard to feed the ball to the midfield. Took some good marks also.
3. Fletcher - Today just proves how important he is to the team. A very solid return from Fletch.
2. Kerr - Another excellent performance. Wasn't afraid to back himself and take on the opposition. Set up a few plays extremely well.
1. Jakovich - Have to give the bloke a vote. An absolute legend. He started off like a flash in the pan and kicked 3 goals. Too bad he couldn't nail that last one, but good on ya Jako!

Unlucky:
Matera - 5 goals - an excellent return! Good to see him getting some goals from crumbing due to the work of the tall forwards i.e. Gaspar
Cousins - Lifted in the second half when the team needed him most. Well done Cuzz.
Chambers - Welcome return to form for this bloke, and I'm bloody happy for him
Selwood - Like the way this kid plays. Has a lot of courage and goes hard at the ball
Nicoski - What can I say? This kid plays like he's had 100 AFL games under his belt. Shows a lot of poise and has a great kick
Jones - Backed up his impressive debut, with another solid performance
Gaspar - Getting better each week. Took some great marks. We just need to work a little on the kicking
Staker - Again very good, leading out very well. Inaccuracy let him down though.

5 - Judd - Great game - his balance through traffic is awesome
4 - Matera - 5 goals from a crumbing forawrd should be celebrated
3 - Chambers - Great 1st half. Faded, but it was good to see his impact
2 - Gaspar - Stats won't show it, but he provided the contest we have been looking for in the forward line.
1 - Staker - 7 marks in the 2nd half - the kid can play

Unlucky
Kerr - Will probably get 1 week, the elbow was in but he left the ground and made high contact
Cousins - Good 2nd half
Cox - Good effort again

It was great to see our young talls stand up.

Gaspar and Staker were terrific.
Lynch was solid, but didn't really have a suitable match up. I though he was pretty good across half forward. '
Glass was beaten todya but certainly didn't disgrace himself.
IMO McDougall continues to show a fair bit of promise, despite what a few people around here think.

Hard game for me to decide on, some of these votes could've gone to a number of players but heres how I seen it!

5. Judd - I don't need to go to far into detail here, what a Gun!

4. Cox - The best game the big man has played

3. Fletcher - Fit back comfortably racked up possesions at will

2. Cousins - Negated by Kirk until Kerr Killed him, Stood up in the final qtr

1. Kerr - Puts his body on the line time and again, continually backs himself

I said he had a good game...read my post again!!!

And are the AFL desperate for attention too?

Their site gives

Best: West Coast: Kerr, Cousins, Judd, Fletcher, Staker, Embley

Or don't you count them in what EVERYONE says :p

oops...and exactly who were those that posted the exact opposite of my

5. Fletcher
4. Staker
3. Judd
2. Chambers
1. Matera

I think you'll find most agreed with at least 4.

Take another angry pill D4E
