Kerr and Cox played great again, and Kerr should be on top of the AFL tackling ladder.

Cummings only got 2 goals and KJ dragged him in the 3rd quarter. Wilson's accuracy is worrying, 2.4, last week 7.5, He had 18 scoring shots of which only 9 were goals. Lets hope that improves.

Banfield was back to his wonderful best, Cousins should be rising up the brownlow medal favouritism list and Gardiner has really come of age.

On the down side Kemp only got the one touch, was he just having a bad day is he injured again?

Next week we play Richmond at Subi, a match we are a good chance of winning. I say this because Richmond have never won in Perth. And with Jones and Braun set to comeback next week the eagles are going from strength to strength.

I thought Cousins deserved the medal although Drew Banfield did have a good game.
The team showed some positives tonight although our top forwards didnt really have an impact on the game. I thought gardiner played well.

GREAT WIN

For me..Peter Matera was best on ground. Incredible performance.

Kempy got injured in first quarter and was out for the game. Milli, Wirra and Kerr all went off in third quarter and needed pain killers to get up for fourth quarter. We had no bench for last 10 mins of third quarter. KJ was a dickhead for putting Carrol in the ruck halfway through the third quarter. That move turned the game. With Cox and Gardy playing why on earth did they play him in such a key position. He had been Eagles worst player to that point.
The Eagles fans were magnificent...out voicing the Freo home fans easily.

Suh-weet!

For mine I would have given the Rosco Medal to Gardiner. That guy is playing champagne football. Banfield, Wirrpunda and Cousins all played like champs. The Dockers midfield was pretty dangerous, with Cook all over us as he usually is in the derbies. Kemp spent most of the game off the field, was he injured?

I'm proud of the Eagles supporters at the game. They were magnificent. Walking up Roberts Road, supporters were shouting out and singing the club song. I don't think I've ever heard so much spirit after an Eagles home win

But what about the Dockers supporters booing Wirrpunda for his collision with McManus. When it was Cook and White they thought it was the best thing out. Bloody hypocrites

Well what a victory!!!!!!!!

A few points.

1. Cummings had 2 marks, 2 kicks and 2 goals. That was before the end of the first quarter. He pretty much spent the rest of the game on the bench. FOR GOD SAKE KEN, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!!!!!

2. For those who asked (i think D4E) Kemp went off about 10 minutes into the 1st quarter with what i heard was a really bad headache?

3. Banners deserved the Glendinning Medal, 30 possesions and 3 goals is pretty awesome. I thought Cousins was inspirational in the last with 2 captains goals. What a champ.

4. Again our defence was wonderful with Morrison and Wirrpunda in the thick of things all game long. Jakovich held Pavlich really well, Modra was non existent thanks to Ash and Matera continues to turn back the clock.

5. Kerr is quickly becoming the pick of the draft and he certainly cant be called soft as he leads the league in tackles. He always looks like he is gonna take a screamer too

6. Recruits continue to get better with Merenda, Taylor and Collica all playing well. Carroll really needs to be dropped though.

7. BRING ON RICHMOND!!!

To see Matera playing like he did last week shows that maybe he's getting back to the Matera of old...

One thing im concerned about.. what is the Cummings situation? Im hoping he was rested cos we have to remember that Cummings is younger than Wilson and had an immediate impact in the first quarter

But other than that, it felt great to get another win

well I missed the whole game so that sucked but I did see Ken Judge happy for once when I got home just in time to see the eagles celebrating! I couldn't believe when I saw it but he looked really fired up.

How was the game itself? Any reports, injuries or anything?

I think we went pretty much injury free !!!

2 weeks in a row that we have gone injury free, thats gotta be a record. Im not entirely sure though as Kemp didnt play at all after about 10 minutes but i thought he only had a bad headache or something. DOnt know the situation on Cummo either he seemed fine yet spent most of the time on the bench.
