Don't forget that the game is on early tonight (6:45) and is at Colonial Stadium not the MCG as the *****heads at Fox Footy said!

Roo Cull

We lost it, Roos didn't win it.
Our field kicking, tackling, team-work was exceptional, although in front of goal we were disappointing, the pressure was showing.
It just shows how easy and disheartening it can be to kick ourselves out of a game.
And how good teams nail the goals that give them the winning edge.
With injuries decimating our talls, and previews indicating an absoulute thrashing, I think we have added some dignity and respect to our club fighting it out to the bitter end.

I for one am, proud and congratulate our guys for their backs to the wall fighting spirit.

How good will we be when our regulars return.

...beautifully said, Tiger Gar.

I have a feeling that this time last year we would have nailed many of those goals no problem.

Confidence is a funny thing.

great post and i totally agree with your post.
but fair dinkum greg tivendale you need a good long look at yourself son. for a bloke with excellent foot skills you let the team down badly tonight .0.3 plus an out on the full is not good enough considering how easy those shots you missed were.
cheers!

It was 0.4 so even worse:(

What did he kick last week? 1.3?
As Giles may say Just Brilliant..

Sick of Richmond losing.

GOD HELP US.

We're bottom 4 and everyones writing poems, holding hands and picking flowers.

Good teams can win against the odds. What happened to the TIGER ?! Not enough men in charge ? Essendon lose players and still win.

What really bothers me is that Frawley is telling the team that our game is good enough..that they are good enough. Because that's a lie.

Mediocrity has followed us all year..... but now it's fashionable.
It's one thing to lose, but it's ugly when it's good enough.

WELL I'M SORRY : IT'S....NOT....GOOD ENOUGH.
IT'S NOT RICHMOND. IT'S NOT JACK DYER...IT'S NOT TOM HAFEY.

Thank heaven we have men coming back to play footy soon.

nighty-night ladies...

we lost we should of won we really needed to win :( are kicking really did let as down 11 18 we had 3 more shots at goal than the Roos, such a shame Ottens n Richo were both out and well I guess now we really can say bye bye to the 8 for this year :(.

Good teams with key players still playing can win against the odds.
Essendon have lost Hird, Fletcher & Lloyd, are competitive but struggling to win. They scraped in against Swans, lost to both Roos & Port.

We have a makeshift team(Filling holes, plugging gaps) with all our injuries(A Legitimate reason for the way a team performs). Players are being played out of their natural positions and given tasks they normally wouldn't have, and to be able to perform at a competitive level is a good indicator of flexibility and unpredictability in the team that will keep us in good sted for future games.

IMO Mediocrity stems from performing below your ability and talent. On performances from our last two games, we were still a chance to win right to the end, where everyone suggested the Tiges will be thrashed. We are playing above our abilities. We have a realistic chance of winning games now, not a thinly vailed hope of a win as given by our past thrashings.

A Win Is A WIn ! BUT there is such a thing as a Reasonable Loss as long as we can see A WIN around the corner.
