Hi guys and girls,

Just wanted some help with regards to a former bomber by the name of Ed Considine.

I recently had a tour of the hallowed turf at the MCG and on that tour was Mr Alan Joyce (guide) and one Ed Considine. Both seemed extremely friendly and all round nice guys.

I have been a keen Essendon supporter all my life and have heard of Ed, yet I cannot remember any of his games or anything about him. Can someone fill me in a little more about him when he was at Essendon (I know he went to the swans as well)?

Cheers.

Correct "batter", although played a handful of servicable games later days before moving on; in a way a bit like Dean Baily/s days at Bombers

I put Considine in the "played too many games for his ability" bracket:

David Flood
Michael Werner
Kieren Sporn
Peter Berbakov
Paul Hamilton
Dean Bailey
Judd Lalich
Aaron Hennemann
Courtney Johns

Please feel free to continue this list! :thumbsu:

You could go the other way and go with not enough games for people who had talent as well "Flash in the Pan"

Paul Hills..... etc

Brad Fox
Scott Cummings
Andrew Underwood
Rob Foorster-Knight
Todd Ridley
Andrew Ukovic
And the one who tops them all
Glenn Manton(played terrible footy at Bombers but became a premiership player)

Sporn wasn't that bad, & Berbakov was very unlucky with injuries. Hamilton was a handy defender, but I can't say anything good about the rest!

I'll add Marc Bullen & Kepler Bradley to the list.

I think Todd Ridley & Tony Delaney should be excluded from these lists, given what we got in return (along with Dale Kickett).

God Bless Freo!!!

hahah but glen manton was a key to our night premiership in 94. how quickly we forget.

harsh treatment of ukovic, berbakov and two-dads.

I think it was Robert Stevenson in the 90's
Julian Kirzner
Michael Symons - A bit harsh , could take a nice grab but terrible feet

good old Symo, talk about an enigma. Best mark, worst kick! **** I still have nightmares about him lining up dead in front, 30 out...

His set shots had the longest run up. I remember him starting on the wing one night at the MCG, and he was only about 40m out!!

And he missed.

Daniel McAllister anyone?

Who could forget his famous 'goose step'?

I'll add a few more:

Julian Kirzner
Robert Stevenson
Matthew Banks
Tony Antrobus
Andrew Bomford
Doc Weildon
Peter Filandia
Joel Reynolds

Oh ... and i was nuts about Bolts ...
