Caught my eye a few times when watching I think it was the TAC Cup GF recently, with his energy and speed on the wing.

Article here says that in testing pre-Christmas he "delivered the best set of running results in Geelong Falcons history".

First he ran their first ever 16 on the beep test, then he won the 2km time trial in 6.03sec.

Here are his stats for 2017 from Draft Central:

https://www.afldraftcentral.com.au/player/edward-mchenry/

Interesting that he averaged 18 disposals per game in both the TAC Cup and also the U18 Championships (where he also averaged an excellent 5.5 tackles).

Matt Balmer's scouting notes on his TAC Cup GF:

#8 Ed McHenry – The bottom-ager was again impressive and put his hand up for AFL Academy honours. His hands in close are very good and he was able to fire the ball out to the link players effectively. He is an effective kick going forward and found 21 disposals for the game

Draft Central's 2018 preview comments about him:

Edward McHenry (Geelong Falcons) 176cm | 67kg | Outside Midfielder
2017 TAC Cup: (11) 21.7 disposals | 4.1 marks | 4.1 tackles | 1.9 clearances | 3.9 inside 50s | 60% KE | 72% DE | 31% CP

The classy outside midfielder McHenry is a smaller size and a light frame, but he moves well and is a great kick of the football. He spreads across the ground and lays his fair share of tackles, so expect him to up his numbers across the board in 2018 with a great role in the middle next year.

One to watch in 2018.

First time watching him was in a Vic Metro trial match, first thing he did that caught my eye was him selling the candy beautifully and having a shot at goal, I can’t remember if he kicked the goal but the candy selling was top notch.

I’d like for the Falcons to play him forward a bit more this year, he killed it on the wing last year so keeping him there all year this year would feel like a waste.
