Toast Eddie McGuire

Today I had some fun reviewing some Eddie footage both on afl.com.au and also I discovered on youtube a clip of him from last year outlining the Mick+Bucks coaching deal on the footy show.

I found his comments throughout both to be excellent. Certainly all his ideas are along the right track and I really admire over his time with the club the things he has done. He has hired many of the right guys over his time as president, gone about everything in the right way and has all along had the right direction in mind for the club.

Even without the ultimate premiership success in his time he has run Collingwood from a business perspective very successfully and we are really starting to see that with the clubs strong list position, coaching positions, financial position and membership position.

Great work Eddie and keep putting the time and effort into this great club.

But yeh i agree, been a great servent for this club. changed everything around, we would probaly be in the same position as essendon and carlton atm if it wasnt for him.

You can't not be happy with the job Eddie has done as President of our club, especially considering the debacles that preceded him.

He has turned both our financial situation and our on field situation around with great management, foresight and development, and can only be congratulated.

Tonight's "minor premiership" win is as much Eddies' as it is any Collingwood player, coach, supporter or staff member IMO.

Gratz Eddie, keep up the great work, I'd love to see you shedding a tear on the last Saturday in September, this time though, tears of joy.
