Agree with the earlier post. 3 weeks would have sufficed. But Eddie saying they’re proud of him for coming clean and copping a four week ban on the chin is laughable. McGuire was okay in this instance. Defending his player, but not his actions... saying it's a pretty harsh suspension and well done to Sidebottom for copping it sweet. What's wrong with that? Seems okay to me. Not sure why people are getting stuck in. The reason why Collingwood and my club Hawthorn are great clubs is because they support their players. They don't publicly shit all over them like some other loser clubs do.

If you want to challenge the 4 weeks that is your right as a footy club. But to come out and say you’re proud of your vice captain? For getting on the piss with a teammate about to endure surgery then months of physical rehab? For breaching quarantine rules and getting so pissed he needed the cops to take him home? If he found his own way home would he have reported it to the club? I doubt it.

Surely nobody with a brain respects this idiotic, racist dimwit? Eddie has so many conflicts of interest he’s lost any shred of journalistic integrity he ever actually had. How does he back this position up tomorrow when he puts his radio hat back on?

Nedward is effectively saying Collingwood are above the rules of the game and the country because he doesn’t feel anything he did is wrong. It is simply deflection from their other issues. The average joe wouldn’t be able to justify if they did somehting like this. Nedward using his dictatorship to prove the moronity of Collingwood. Seriously - the guy put the entire AFL season in jeapardy. Victoria is currently experiencing a surge, and whole suburbs have been locked down. Other states are already having major hesitations about giving exemptions to the very strict quarantine laws for travelling between states and breaches by senior players puts those exemptions at extreme risk .... and Eddie is proud of him !!!!!

Park the covid issue and consider this. Vice captain of a club was found off his chops during the season on an early Sunday morning half dressed and had to to be driven home by the police.
