Wouldn't surprise me if it was a Carlton supporter being a smart arse. But if it was a Pies supporter that's not very good. Daisy shouldn't be replying back to him as it just makes it worse.
I had a look through his past tweets because I thought the same thing, sad to say he's a Collingwood 'supporter'

Sorry, but as I've said before, if the players won't stay till the end, then neither will I.

The players actually didn't show up till the second quarter, and only stayed for 20 minutes.

I think leaving at 3 quarter time seems fair.

It's naive to think that we don't have the kinds of ********s amongst our supporters who would have a go at a player on twitter. Unfortunately I expect every team would have them, we're not immune. There is no character exam required to put on a scarf and yell.

I laugh at people who say stuff this Im tearing up my membership, they must be the biggest tool on the planet if they love throwing money away.

It also amazes me how people on here are saying Buckley cant coach, its only round 3 guys make that judgement after his 3 year tenure, remember Tony Shaw, at least had his full tenure, before they realised he cant coach, and if it wasnt for Trent Hotten he mightve been a very good coach.

Lets stay calm we did have a month late start same as the Cats, we do look slow, our Backs are getting killed and are dropping off like flies, but the rest of the comp will start to slow down once the weather gets wetter, and soft tissue injuries hit.

One last point Guys it was friday the 13th too:eek:

I have only left a game early 3 times in my life.
The first was my girlfriend got home and called to say the house was broken into, she said stay but they went through her grandmothers stuff which she was left and I had to come home.
The second was last years Geelong flogging
The third was Friday night.

Why did I leave those 2 times?
Its simple, I'm fine with watching us get flogged, its when the effort is missing I can't stand. I don't want to get there early, get my seat in the MCC, stand around for 2 hours, pay for food and then have to sit through a non-effort like those 2 times.
I don't care what anyone says, I left at 3/4 on Friday, I left at 1/4 against Geelong.

Yes we had injuries on Friday, but f*** me, there were far too many players who threw in the white flag after half time. Our start to the game was the worst 15 minutes of football I've seen in 32 years.

That's ok that Eddie wants us to pull our heads in, as you don't go to the footy to boo your own players no matter the result. But l also ask the question has this been brought up to deflect any questions regarding the "succession" plan. Am l the only one that thinks this is getting messy, Game plan has changed completely and the players are struggling with it, Malthouse questioning the game plan from the outside, and a public spat between Eddie and MM. As a member of the club and have been for the past few years, l am quite concerned the way this is panning out. This could be one hell of a train wreck!

I missed where Mick is questioning our gameplan. Where was that? Maxwell has said that the gameplan is very much the same as last year. Whether or not thats a good thing is another matter. Would Mick have changed it. Who knows.

I hate people who come out and say we HAVE to cheer for the Team. We all do cheer for the Team but if we are playing like Crap and Not Trying then we don't have to IF we choose

IMO, not one bit of that is true, but I'm happy to admit I'm wrong if you can provide links or quotes

Did you miss the most of the late 90s?

I think its a bit unfair describing it as a non-effort. I sat just behind the bench, mate those boys were knackered coming onto the bench and only resting for a few seconds. We did get smashed in the first 1/4, but we'd pulled it back just before Ball went off for the second time. I was actually fairly happy with the result, given the circumstances it could have been 20 goals.

I don't care if supporters don't cheer if we are playing crap but to jeer players is disgusting. I bet these same supporters are the ones who were cheering these players when we won the Premiership.

My opinion. If it means anything.
I would be worried if Eddie was not backing Bucks. Idiots who are saying 'it was a mistake', 'bring back Mick', etc, should be called out just for being idiots. Eddie made a ballsy decision to bring in Bucks and he will wear the consequences if it completely backfires. He needs to give his man all the support through a tough start to the season, with season ending injuries, losing a whole lot of experienced assistants, etc. If Eddie was doubting his decision 3 rounds in, we may as well give the season up right now. Good on you Eddie for backing your man in.

Now, regarding supporters letting their feelings known to the players. I do not have a problem with it. We played shithouse on Friday. I would be disappointed if the members were not disappointed. You pay for your ticket, you have a right to voice your opinion. I would not jeer a player personally, though.
However, leaving early is pathetic. If you support the club through the good times, you MUST support through the tough, and losing to Carlton in the manner that we did on Friday is one of the toughest pills to swallow. But you have to stick it out.
Flame me if you want. I am willing to discuss this.

I agree Jerring does sound pathetic but Leaving early is not. I probably would of left during the 3rd Quater if I could but I was meeting someone after the game so I stayed and went outside with about 10 Minutes to go.

Would you want to hang around and listen to Drunk Carlton fans Raving on and Trying to Start Trouble. No Me

The boys didn't have a great night, but apart from one drunk idiot that was ejected most supporters around me just sat there silent and disappointed with the effort. I will be there next week and I still believe we are a good chance for the 2012 flag. I left with about 10 mins to go because 1) I F**kin hate that song and 2) I may as well get a seat on the train (when was the last time Ed caught the train after a 85k crowd)

Not sure if you watch much TV or listen to the radio, but Mick questioned the Collingwood game plan on Game day this morning saying he didn't really know what the game plan is, but whatever it is the players are struggling to play it.

Then in the afternoon had a go at Eddie on radio because Eddie called the Collingwood game plan at the end of 2011 "middle class", and Malthouse found that offensive.

There's your quotes.

I mostly agree with what Eddie has actually said, not what most people seem to have construed. I don't read that as Eddie telling Pies supporters to not get angry about the loss, that's just ridiculous. He seems to have only referred to supporters leaving at 3/4 time and jeering the players, and he's right.

I've left games early plenty of times, but never as early as 3/4 time, that's just pissweak.

Jeering your own players is about as shit as you can get as a supporter (besides the Richmond spitters).

We've been very spoilt over the last couple of seasons, and for some supporters to suddenly turn around after round 3 and disrespect the players - most of them premiership players - is just ****ing weak.

I don't jeer players, and I don't like it when it happens although I can understand to a degree. I do however yell out when I see a weak effort from player or a particular bad piece of skill and Friday was full of them.

Maybe some poor from the supporter base, well it matches perfectly with the poor effort shown by the players at the game.

Eddie having a crack at the supporters is a disgrace as well. Fans feel the effect of a poor performance more than most involved with the club.

I agree that Jeering is Pathetic and does not look good.

Well I only leave that early for 1 of 2 Reasons.

  1. We are losing by 10+ Goals
  2. Showing no Fight to get back in the game like Friday Night

Was the game shown on 7 on Friday night not the game that was actually played on Friday night? Our problem didn't look to be game structure or physical effort, it was that we were not clean with the ball. The number of times that all we had to do was; pick up the loose ball get it cleanly to our man down-field, and we were away OR handball or kick over the top to a man in the clear. Instead we fumbled, took eyes off the ball, missed with the kick or handball, or had them knocked down. Carltoon looked clean with the ball but they too made errors, it's just that we fumbled/got a bad bounce/or had an unlucky ricochet. (Don't get me wrong, I believe as my coaches taught me, that bad luck with bounces etc. are due to lack of focus, lack of physical ability or will, lack of judgement, lack of preparation. I was taught that it was caused by any one of or any combination of these things)
In my own long winded way, what I am trying to say is; don't blame our problems on game plan or structures. The Party Pies need to get serious again or history will never record their abilities as deserved if fully utilized.

Mate Every Team Does it.

And If People don't like it then Stiff S**t. I want to make my Feeling Made then I will bloody do it then

Totally agree !!!
I pay my membership and I'll be damned if I am gonna sit there like some dumb ass and watch the s....t that was served up without venting. And by venting I Am not targeting individuals just the poor effort of the team as a whole. Ed is a total hypocrite, happy to take our money (like banks) but then expects us to sit there and take it up the a... when we put on a pathetic show like that.
