You blokes admitted you had drainage problems last year and thats why the ground was worse that it should have been. Unless you can guarantee thats fixed ya should not get a final. I would be certain there were other grounds around that would have been better than that. It was terrible.

I reckon all those clubs will apply, i heard 10 clubs applied last year, only Nyora, LL, Ellinbank and KWR didnt i think.

Darnums ground was a disgrace for finals last year. I know it rained a lot before hand but the ground was rediculously bad

Was not as bad as everyone made out. There was so much rain in the week prior to that game that it was bound to be bad. There was quite a bit of surface water but the mud was not too bad. you could still run with no trouble.

So anyway, back to magoos news, has anyone noticed paul whelan has turned out for the neerim south seconds the last couple of weeks? could be making a charge for the 6th spot, and will probably win the league goalkicking as well, just depends on how fat he has gotten.

Bunyip is going into Saturdays game expecting Whelan to come up and play ones after two solid weeks in the magoos. They would be crazy not to put him up with the team the have...

Is Neerim the best EDFL team to ever be 2 and 8? I thought the day we beat them it was very close to our best game of the season and we only won by 5 goals.

Nope, we've somehow moved onto if neerim at the best team to ever be 2 and 8.

From what we have played against so far this year, Nar Nar Goon are the 2nd best 2's side going around. Catani were just not up for it, no matter how hard their umpire tried to keep them in the game.

good point on the club umpires, is this the best model or should we be looking at independant umpires for the twos? time and time again club umpires are either seen as bias for or against their sides due to their conflicts!

Does anyone know the qualifications to play reserves finals? Eg. Maximum amount of senior games played.... and if there is a minimum you have to play in the reserves

Minimum of 4 reserves games.

Maximum senior games of half the season + 1 game, which is 10 in our league. Any more than this and you have over-qualified.

Interestingly with KWR beating Dusties on the weekend, the possibility of Bunyip playing finals is huge.

Dusties to lose againts NNG and Bunyip to beat Langy to pinch 6th spot in the last round.

Yeah could be a chance now... Rakip has played too many in the ones, but 57 is Sam Davies and has only been playing in the seniors for the last 6 games so he will drop back... So could be a couple of additions to the line up come finals...

U would think realistically there is only 4 teams that could win the flag in the magoos, with 5th and 6th just making up the numbers. You would think anyway....

I agree tumble, should be out of the top 4 but might depend on KWR and probably bunyip have to come back from the ones. Always makes a big difference in twos finals. Nilma will have the week off in the ones which can be good or bad for the twos on who they have available.
