They must have found a bit of cash down at Sewell Reserve, have heard they are offering certain under 18 kids $200 per senior game and $100 per 18s game...big cash for young blokes if its true....
Haha not true fletch from what i hear the reason why the Roys are getting great big new club rooms built is because they are clever with there money and spending 2 hunge on kids is not clever .The roys had a meet the new u18 coach a couple of weeks ago and got about 23 there good signs to get them started again. The seniors have picked up 4 , Danny Campbell is back , 2 from Northcote and 1 other they hope to have signed a couple more signed before offical training starts on the 30th .Any other news in second div comings and goings , who are the dozen that paco have signed ?

I've heard something about the new Glenroy under 18 coach offering free gym memberships to his gym and thus enticing a lot of rival players.
He does own a gym not sure about the free memberships , im sure any u18 kids looking for a game and maybe a good deal on a gym membership should come down to training on the 30th.

I here Jacana football club have announced there new playing coach Daniel Thrith from North Ballarat and training starts wed 25th at 6pm at jacana

It must be hard as a coach to ask your players to get the hard ball when you refuse to do it yourself.... He won't add much to Keilor's playing stocks they would be better off giving a young kid a run.

In saying that I don't think anyone at Avondale gave a sh@t if he left and they haven't got anybody in their side to do anything even if they did.
Gee you must have been a tough player in your time, must be easy to sling mud from the boundary fence. Looking in from an opposition club I would say that if the players had some balls they would go and get the ball isnt that what it is all about. If he did not bring the recruits with him they would be in B Grade. So the Club needs to have good look at themselves.

Dont know about that - I watched them a few times this year and a few of these so called recruits did nothing - Was players that have been at Avondale for years - they just need some good players around them and they will be alrite. Johnson might just deliver this to them.

Spoke to the boys down there and they were not very happy with a number of the signings they made as they didnt deliver in 09 - Thats why i asked if they are going with the ex coach.

Has Scott Lucas signed at Greenvale?

It seems to me that the homegrown players are the ones that dont fire and set the example. Sutclffe was a star and won the B & F. Agree Johnson will be great for them but they still need about 6 recruits to cover there losses so they can push for the finals they are that far behind the top 5 its not funny.

Dont think that is the case - Problem is they need new players around them that perform!

They still have home grown players unlike majority of other clubs so they should be proud of that.

Heard a few rumors that Moonee Valley has been signing a few players recently can anyone give me some information on that? would be much appreciated thanks.

This Dulic would want to be an absolute freak if the amount of talk is anthing to go by....

Even the Comps best player Travis Jorgenson dont get this much discussion

Comps best player? That's debateable. Dulic is pretty good, he played reserves at coburg and had a few senior games as well IIRC.

I think there may be a couple of guys from west coburg heading down there. They will be very handy players at that level.

Who cares all due respect he played at glenroy!! not much talk on here bout strathmore who have been very active over pre season some very good signings!! puff puff i think u will need more than houcher to save ur club at the moment trying to cover those losses of some pretty handy footballers!!

A bit disrespectful in your comments Mr Broadbent. I seem to recall you running around for a few ordinary sides! Which club will you call home after you retire - Strathmore, Tullamarine, Keilor Park, Melton, Albion or Marby?? Quite the journeyman...

Hey Prison Mike you have told us all who Tappy is, Who are you then ?

Rumour is that Lucas is still in talks out at section road, but there are still a few major players (Bloomfield, Jorgo etc..) that still haven't signed for next year...
Seems if super isn't quick they may go elsewhere..

Would be very surprised if Rhys or Jorgo left, especially Rhys being a local and last years B+F winner.
As for Lucas, it will take someone of at least his quality to replace a player like Chris Smith.... ;)

Assistant Coach

Top 5 B grade club is seeking the services of a playing assistant coach for season 2010. If interested please private message me.

not at all ive got a few mates who play there and have played there so more what i was getting at was there has been far to much talk bout this bloke on here bout where hes playing and thats it! Its got nothing to do with me in regards to clubs or where ive played if u read the post!! In regards to ordinary sides Strathmore won back to back flags, tulla won bgrade grand final, keilor park more than competitve, melton never played there, albion always top 3 or 4,MARBY well Agrade premiers this year!! no ordinary sides there my friend!! anyway didnt come on to talk bout that shit anyway just to post and generate some talk bout other clubs!

Do we detect a bit of desperate back-pedalling from someone whose cover has been blown!?! Understandable, I suppose. You did give Glenroy a fair back-hander. Fair enough too. After the impact they made on their long-awaited return to A-Grade, they have nowhere to hide from anything people want to say about them.

Have to take issue with your comments about your past clubs. Albion a perennial top 3 or 4 side? In the '80's perhaps, not the past decade or so. Keilor Park more than competitive ... how so? Tulla won a B Grade premiership, too right. But so did Glenroy!
