Matt will be available for selection for our next game, after todays result do we need to rush him back early or should we wait?

Heard them say on K-Rock on Saturday night that he was a chance but only a very slim chance so I wouldnt say he would be risked

I don't think we'll risk him.
We did just fine without him today.

if we can control the middle like we did today i wouldn't risk him. If we play collingwood i'll be looking closely at who will play on cloke, i'm not worried about rocca so much though.

Last time we played them Egan was beaten by Cloke, who was probably a bit too mobile for him. The one worry for me would be Rusling. He's lightning quick off the mark on his leads, so is a real danger for us.

Talk of an Egan return is purely to keep the kids spirits up. Too big a risk for both the team and the kid. :(

It's not gonna happen. No chance.
(I'll happily eat my words if a miracle occurs but don't hold your breath).

The only "weakness" anyone identified this week was the absence of Egan unsettling the backline.

Didn't seem to matter! The team did what the team has been doing all season, played like a team and blitzed the opposition.

It was a thing of beauty.

I would only consider him returning for the GF, he would be nowhere near ready to play in a Prelim his foot wont be ready and even then the GF would be a risk considering we have seen what happens when clubs have brought in injured/suspect players to finals (Crows/Riccuito, Swans/Hall, Eagles/Cousins, Judd).

Stem cells can do wonderful things.

Seriously though Egan would be perfect for Rusling. He tends to play 5 meters in front of his man so is unlikely to be caught out by someone like Rusling. Cloke goes on very long leads which is ahrder to cover the way Egan plays.

Spoke to him at the game, stated that there isn't much of a chance. He'd prefer to make it to the GF if he could. I doubt that after this weeks performance they'd make the change.

I think he will be given at least until the GF to see if he can play, if he can't, I think from yesterday we can cover for him.
