Egypt Air Missing

Egypt Air MS804 has gone missing between Paris and Cairo.

Hopefully there is some normal explanation for this but apparently it disappeared shortly after entering Egyptian airspace.

Good chance this is terrorism related when there have been a few other terrorist incidents in Egypt recently including that Russian plane that crashed.

Why don't they just throw a camera on the front on a plane or in cockpit and live feed it all to the airports? Surely it wouldn't cost that much?

Well they went off the radar and it's been missing for 4 hours so it would tell us whether they fell out of the sky into the ocean or if it was terrorist related.

Yep a flight from Paris where there has been terrorist attacks to Egypt where they have been terrorist attacks has to ring terrorism alarm bells.

I find it a strange tactic. Don't really understand what they get out of it. Give people a shock and then everyone keeps catching planes like normal.

Good weather in the area, and they've already got search & rescue out looking for it, so hopefully they find some evidence of it. A fair way off the coast though.

Rapid depressurization at that altitude and you'd be unconscious within a couple of seconds anyway - if you survived the freezing conditions and the actual break up of the aircraft

Do you know of cases where it really had a benefit to a radical group? Most big cases I know of simply seem to be retaliation with no real gain.

I would think the plane was too far away for them to see that. It was lost off radar almost 300km from those islands
