Who is going to be our round 11 elevated rookie do you think?

They will leave the last rookie list open until needed... i.e. if we are in desperate need of a ruckman, Casboult will be elevated, if we are in desperate need of a half back, Touhy will be elevated, in and under it would be Cachia etc.

Dependant of who we elevate between now and round 11 (if required) will determine who we elevate after round 11...

Here's hoping we don't elevate anyone else cause it would mean we are not in need of anyone (i.e. doing good)... then after round 11 we would elevate Twomey

It sounds like Curnow's contested ball winning, extracting, tackling, running and work ethic has been what we were all hoping for. Blocking, shepherding, clearing room for team mates is a bit harder to assess because a lot of it goes unseen, has anyone noticed what he's like at this stuff?

Haven't seen him live, but a quicker, more mobile, more durably Richard Hadley will do me quite nicely thanks.

I like the fact he's a strong tough hard working contested ball winner but also has pace. It's a nice combo.

Considering we loaded up with talls and defenders, it's impressive that we landed another quality mid to the lineup. Last years recruitment effort will go down as one of our best ever.

Would definitely agree there - a great blend: few more mature-age ready-to-go types(Duigan, Laidler, Collins, Curnow (r) and Twomey (r)), along with some potentially exciting KPP talent to be developed (Watson - this man-child will likely play Rd 1 in any case, McCarthy and Mitchell). Don't know much about McInness and Carter (r), but you'd have to say we've done very well with one eye on the road and the other on the horizon. Who says we don't have depth?

Yeah, big congrats to Ed. Definitely a fantastic recruit - with the McLean Complex, and the loss of Ellard to suspension, our inside midfield numbers would be looking pretty thin without him.

Here's to hoping he cements his spot with some quality performances! The others will be working like crazy to get back in - if he can kep them out of the team... *jizz*
