Was listening to a whole heap of old school Eminem last night and was thinking about how impossible it would be for another Eminem to exist today.
Even back then he was the subject of controversy, but in today's social climate he would never even be able to gain the traction to be such a huge success.

Look at the popular music today, and I mean specifically rap/hip-hop. You have Macklemore banging on about social issues, Desiigner speaking absolute gibberish, Drake with his lame love songs, Future saying god knows what, Danny Brown and his love for drugs.

There can never be another Eminem. Just someone who comes on the scene and says a bunch of bullshit with the sole aim to piss everyone off.

Makes me sad.
Goat rapper. The Real Slim Shady and Mockingbird are my favourite. Although I never really liked Lose Yourself that much it was ok but I could put another 10 songs of his before it that I liked better

Introducing Mr. Chuck D.

I didn't like Eminem so much myself, but I loved that parents really hated him, and that's what rock 'n roll is all about really when you're a kid, you don't want your mum saying, "oh I quite like that." Death of any song.

Big call. Probably GOAT wigga, don't know about rapper. Is he the only rapper you've listened to?

My Eminem faves are 'Go To Sleep' and 'Guilty Conscience'

Im not homophobic so yes i have a problem with those lyrics. He is an extremely gifted artist and very very popular. It would sadden me greatly if a '*** person'was harmed in any way.

There is nothing in life greater, than to be a supporter or our beloved collingwood football club,we must remain united,we must stand tall,we must be prepared to fight for our glorious black and white, for we are THE ENVY OF ALL NATIONS.
Pretty decent chance it is him.

Haven't listened to him in a long time but I take it his latest music isn't great?

Like most shooting stars mate....Petered out completely....He lost 'it' years ago.

The Ego/Drugs combo got him. Which is no real surprise, considering his background & upbringing.

His newer shit is heaps better than when he was whacked out in Encore and Relapse. MMLP2 is a good record, I still bump it a bit. Few duds on there but you can forgive him for that.

As an emcee...eminem is probably the best...Lyrically, I dont think there is many taking that crown

Favourite Eminem song is Rock Bottom, but his best verse ever is the third verse on Amityville imo. Pity he let Bizarre contribute his steaming pile of shit on it the verse beforehand.

For any type of song, there's probably no greater insult than the phrase " A steaming pile of shit " directed at your work.

The ultimate description that expresses supreme disgust.

Eminem peaked on mmlp, was decent on tes but went downhill fast after that.

He has some amazing songs and crazy verses.

After the hunger was gone and he went through his od episodes n stuff you could tell he was forcing himself to write shit because his lyrics and wordplay were just pathetic. He lost his touch from his early hungry days, but life and large amounts of money will do that to ya.

Agree with that. MMLP2 had some real quality on it.
