If that's your clubs position, that's your clubs position.

We've had years of Liverpool supporters talking about selling Sterling and buying better players with the proceeds.

If that's now considered a bad thing, good luck to you.

Perhaps if when I had made those comments I knew they were picking up Jesus and Zinchenko I would have thought they'd be title challengers, but I didn't think City would sell them good players.

Jesus and Zinchenko were already Arsenal players when you tipped them to finish 4th.

Jesus and Zinchenko joined in April? Wow.

Yeah don't understand the Sterling sale to Chelsea either. Little bit different as Tuchel had no prior link to City, but not substantially.

Who really cares about sales to Spain. You sold Sane to Bayern and they didn't even meet you in the CL.

I don't think Sterling has been all that flash for Chelsea so far, I don't think City have any regrets selling him to Chelsea

I don't think we have any regrets with any of our sales tbh.

£130m or so for three players that iirc would all have been free agents this summer was good business. I doubt any of the three would have been in our strongest lineup if they stayed.

And I can only imagine the criticism we would have got if we refused to sell and still bought in Haaland/Alvarez etc.

Jesus and Zinchenko doing really well at Arsenal, buy it would be a mistake to think Arsenal's form this year is solely down to them. Sterling just doing OK at Chelsea at the moment. All played their part in some great memories for me, and I hope they all do well.

Jesus and Zinchenko joined in April? Wow.

They joined in July. You tipped Arsenal to finish 4th in August.

So you're basing my opinion on Arsenal challenging for the title based on where I put them in a table for a game? Wow you're special.

Your argument was that City shouldn't have sold Jesus and Zinchenko to Arsenal because you had said Arsenal were a title threat. Except that you didn't say that. You said that Arsenal would finish 4th, even after you knew both players had signed.

I'm not sure what you mean by a 'table for a game'. The thread was about the 2022-23 season.

No I said they shouldn't have sold Jesus and Zinchenko because they believed that wouldn't make Arsenal a title threat. Why would they give a shit about my opinion?

Predicting league finishes is a game I spend about 2 minutes thinking about so using my entry as some sort of gotcha is really weird that you bothered to dig it up.

Actually you said that City shouldn't have sold Jesus and Zinchenko because you claimed that they wouldn't make Arsenal a title threat.

I'm not responsible for your brain farts. You seem to be quite insecure about admitting that you were wrong.

What on earth are you on about? You don't even know what you're trying to argue now.

You've dug up a table prediction game to claim it proves I didn't think Arsenal would contend for the title. They could well finish fourth this year after having contended for the title, what does a table prediction prove? Your desperation to find a 'gotcha' really is quite pathetic. That because I picked them to finish 4th that somehow reveals that I didn't think they were a chance of the title, despite the post I pulled up from April showing I thought they would continue to improve this season even before they made key signings above and beyond what I expected them to make. You've waded into a conversation that had nothing to do with you and have just proceeded to make yourself look even sillier than usual.

City selling key players to a top 4 rival is always going to be a chance of turning them into title challengers. My premise was that this is arrogant - in the same way that selling Sterling to Chelsea was. Chelsea haven't become title challengers because of their own failings, but that doesn't change the base notion. Does that make sense to you or are you still struggling? Not going to bother with this anymore as you're entirely deluded.

When you are wrong, just admit it and stop digging the hole. It appears to be very hard for you.
