guendouzi was their best midfielder. it's a massive leap in quality from what he is used to, but at least he didnt shy away from the game. where was xhaka? where were his more experienced team mates? absolutely nowhere to be seen.

Yeah as I said I thought he did ok. Certainly didnt shy away form the contest but also seems to lack any real quality. Seemed a bit of a battler.

What was the deal with randomly starting that midfielder who nobody had ever heard of?? He was erm... ok I guess.

A big step up. A 19 year old from Ligue 2 makes his debut in the premier league against the champions.

Huge learning curve for him and thought he had a genuine crack against a great team. Ramsey and Xhaka could learn a thing or two from him.

I didn't mind him. Had a lot of energy and more importantly looked like he wanted the ball rather than shying away from the occasion.

Palace away is a decent early test this season.
Definitely, plus aren’t they a bit of a bogey side for you? Still expect you to win though but should be a lot closer than the West Ham game

New manager, new look team, more new signings to be unveiled & a few that will hopefully debut. Sold out Goodison should be rocking & let the team set a standard

0-1 Soton
