It opens right up? We play Port twice, Richmond twice, West Coast, North, GWS and GC (I'm not seduced by them yet, they're in the same position as the past 3 or 4 years). All winable games, plus Collingwood again.

Travel to port, gws and gcs.
Rich and port both tend to open us up.
West coast....i just get that feeling the spirit of essington is really levelling up preparations

Our draw for the next 14 games is much easier than our first 8. There are games we likely lose in this run (Brisbane, Sydney x2, Carlton and St. Kilda) but I put us in with a chance for the other 8.

Plus, you know what they say about stones and glass houses.

We'll lose to Richmond twice. We don't beat them at the best of times, let alone whatever this current Essendon team is. We'll also lose to Port at least once, but possibly twice. Not an easy fixture.

Port aren't great and as for Richmond goes:

2015 we were hot garbage and they were still a top 8 side
2016 we had half our best side out
2017-2020 they were the best team in the league

They aren't as good as they once were. We can beat them. It isn't anywhere near as hard a draw as you make it out to be.

It isn't that difficult for a good team sure, but we're not a good team. Richmond were trash last year and still comfortably beat us. We don't match up well against them. Lynch and Riewoldt on top of Nankervis and Soldo are going to be too difficult for us to contain. I believe it's going to look similar to Richmond vs Collingwood.

Port aren't great, but they won the last 3 games including St Kilda and Bulldogs (could have been 4 if they beat Carlton). If Bulldogs and St Kilda can lose to them, then I'd expect us to lose to them, especially in Adelaide.

Do wonder what shiel would be worth in a team that can support his game....and if we added a 2nd does it get you into the middle of the first round.

Not a bad player, but is bad in whatever system we have.
Our midfield has never been better than when he went down last year and stringer stepped in.

Sign Brayshaw as a free agent to help set some ****ing standards.

Parish is a watch given he enters FA next year.
But if we opt for the younger pair, where does that leave shiel?

Of course, we both know all three will be around and we'll continue the same path. But imo it's what i see as needed
