Do tickets need to be pre-purchased, or first in best dressed? For level 1 and 3 that is.
I wish I could apply, but I don't know anyone who is a member.![]()

Hehe I think they have to sign it.You know us through BF, perhaps that could count.![]()

Is it even worth the money anyway?

How come you can't apply with out the names of 2 other members? That's a bit tight.
If you want a great seat at the g for all footy/cricket events, then yes. Definitely. You also get good deals on events like the recent soccer friendly (20 buck tickets) or rugby internationals.
If you only go to Essendon games and don't give a stuff about cricket, then probably spend a bit more on your EFC membership and get a good seat package.
Having said that, i gave the last summer of cricket a miss and have only got to 1 non-Essendon game so far this year, but i wouldn't give up my MCC membership for anything.
Mate, I'm a cricket tragic (My favourite sport) and also an AFL tragic. I go to the test and 2 One Dayers each year. What do you mean by elitists? That is because those who run the MCC are w***ers. Most members are fine, but there are plenty of elitists.
I assume you guys are going on Friday night. We should perhaps meet and greet (a lame term, but it does the job).
First in best dressed. I think it is only the Grand Final where tickets have to be pre-purchased.
It is a very valuable asset. The waiting list is like 20 years. My dad signed me up when I was born.

Are they w***ers who are like "Oh look at me, I'm so rich!"?
I wish I could be an MCC member so I could get views like this.

That depends. It is a lot of money, and to make it financially worth it you have to attend a lot of sport each year.Is it even worth the money anyway?
I will be soon (hopefully this year, if not next).
