Things aren't looking good for the Bombers. We're making a lot of simple errors. Melbourne have kept us in this game: they've choked in front of goal. They might regret this by the end of the game. I expect the Bombers to come out hard after half-time. Hopefully Hird will be in the middle and provide us with drive and a bit of polish. We need more grunt and physical presence. I reckon we can win this one... we just need to fire up!

Melbourne are clearly outplaying us in most areas except for Lloyd. Saying that though Melbourne have not been able to beat a top 6 team this season and when held accountable fail to deliver.

We may be pretenders, although I never picked us as a true contender, but Melbourne are yet to show they belong as well.

As for the Demons bookends being the envy of all clubs, those cold & flu tablets have gone to your head _tragic!

this game is reminding me of the game against footscray earlier in the year, and we're simply not putting them away. let's hope we don't keep them in it all game like we did then, and come out and bury them in the second quarter.

The difference in this game is Melbourne has a midfield and Essendon doesn't.

Dees have just dominated the midfield, Essendon struggled to even get it pass the centre line...

It isn't over yet... I think the Bombers can come back... Sheedy will probably make a few changes and mix it up a bit. At the moment Melbourne are clearly the better side. But don't discount the Bombers! This is a real test for us. Melbourne should be leg-weary after the last two weeks and hopefully we can exploit this. We're still within striking distance, and have the talent to come back. Let's see if our boys can ruin Yze's 200th.
