I caught about 20 minutes of KG and Cornesy last night (Thurs 9th). They were threatening to interview Eugene Warrior later in the program. Did anyone hear this interview? If so, what was said? Any talk of him returning to SANFL?

You are having me on!

Seriously, you are having me on... aren't you?

Well what can you say... the Bays spent good money getting him transferred from Norwood, only to have him walk out on the club only *_2_matches_* later. What an arseh*le. I went to see Glenelg V Norwood at Norwood last year, which happened to be Warrior's first game in black-and-gold. You should have heard the crowd go apeshit whenever he got near the ball. Can't say I blame them, if you believe the rumours regarding his departure. This year I'll be giving him stick as well, if he has left Glenelg. What a marshmallow. How about having some pride in a club - and yourself - and digging your heels in and having a red hot go at playing footy?

Strictly speaking he was a Bays player - so did Glenelg get any transfer monies for letting him go back to Port?

And did you hear what he said in the interview? What were his reasons for returning to SANFL, leaving Glenelg, rejoining Port?

When all is said and done - he would be an awesome player if he lived up to his potential. I saw him win the '97 reserves GF from his own boot. If he could put his personal problems behind him and concentrate on his footy he might be a half decent player.

unfortunatly steve, im deadly serious. He kid has a load of talent, but just is not confident or inspired enought o show it. He won the reserves GF in 97 for us...hw nearly won the GF for Norwood in 99. He is a marshmallow.

Apparently he went to stephen williams asking him to let him come back and help him out and show him the right way. Hopefully he has changed his way...but i for one wont be barracking for him. Ill be supporting him about us much as i supported Mark Tylor when he decided to return.

He wants to be drafted to an AFL club again, that is his goal. I didnt hear the interview, but it was in the paper either today or yesterday. No im not sure if Port payed Glenelg any money...maybe Glenelg let go of him, terminated his contract, leaving him a free agent.
I dunno, im very confused as well, and i hope he doesnt become a bad influence on other players

Macca -

thanks for the info.

You shouldn't be too harsh on Mark Tylor though, he got a pretty raw deal at Port playing second-fiddle to Scott Dudges. I encountered him once or twice in the clubrooms when he was playing for Glenelg and I found him to be the most approachable guy. Didn't have his head up his arse, unlike many other footballers. Unfortunately he was tainted as a player - he used to lay tackles with his fists. Not a clever thing to do.

Anyway - thanks again.

Mark Tylor was a very competent forward. Noone scores 90 goals in a season twice if they arent a good forward.
But he broke the unwritten law of deserting the club to play somewhere else. He left at a time when he could still of been a handy part in the side.
