We payed more for John flipping Stones than Newcastle did for Sissoko, who is providing all the energy we lack in midfield. Things like this is why we won't get 4th because the board always bottles it when it comes to crunch time. I don't dread not finishing 4th, I dread losing Moyes, Fellaini & Baines because of it. Can't blame Moyes for leaving, hindsight is great but can't believe he's stayed so long working how he has to with minimal support

We nearly lost at home to the worst team in the league, Chelsea lost again and we would have been right back within 3pts of them. Hugely disappointed with our form, and the Heitinga of last season is nowhere to be found. Needs to be dropped.

Tbh I'm not sure I'd even be that sad if Moyes went. He ****ed us hard tonight. The last few days have just been so deflating, it's like everyone knows we've missed the boat already.

Agreed with that (except Moyes leaving, I'd be gutted), but how he backs it up against Man Utd is going to say a lot. Last nights team was full strength except for Coleman/Hibbert & Jelavic, if anything Jags should be centre because his partnership with Distin is great. Heitinga can play right back, but I very much prefer Neville to start there at RB for now...and I don't like him much lol

If Neville is fit he comes straight to RB. There a few players who could do with a spell on the sidelines. Osman has been piss poor the last 4 odd games.

Heitinga knows he had a shocker. He was so brilliant last year, hopefully he can come back.

Played worst game ever in the shirt of #Everton. Let teammates and fans down but they never let me down. Will work hard to come back strong

I have a very bad feeling that we'll take Villa lightly and only get a point out of this.

I hope to be proved wrong.
Next up is Villa @ home on Sunday morning which should be 3 points minimum, but Villa are in relegation zone so may prove more desperate than us and score first.

Yep knew we would concede first but I didn't expect such a shit performance. Heitinga at CB is the worst decision to make and now Moyes has done it twice.

Look taking everything away from Villa, one of their goals came from basically heitinga being too slow and short and the other where Benteke was offside. I'll give em the Agbonlahor goal but that's it and we should have won 3-1.

Spurs win!
We can pretty much rule out 4th now. At best we will hold onto 6th. We are lucky to a degree because Liverpool really should have picked up 6 points in their last 2 matches. They will catch us.

We look fresh out of ideas. Baines looks exhausted from carrying our attack and pienarr is just going through the motions. Osman has looked a shadow of himself prior to his england debut and has been for a while whilst heitinga was as useful as a wet rag. Gibson i would have expected to control more against probably the worst team in the league and left our back four exposed. Thought it was rough of us to boo the miralles sub, we need him and his hamstrings long term and safety first was a good choice. I agree with above that Jags and Distin need to be the pair against united. I would expect united to play a stronger back four this time with Jones in RB or midfield if we are to use the strength of Vic and the big fro which we will. Whilst i wouldn't make to many changes against united i wouldn't mind seeing Oviedo playing on the right against Oldham and Norwich just to give us some energy and some form of unpredictablility with miralles running through the centre until coleman is ready. Spurs and the gunners will drop points again we've just gotta worry about our own backyard.

Gibson & Mirallas need a month of solid game time til they are flying again, if the rest of the team holds up we can finish strongly again. I had a dream a couple of nights ago we lost 12-1 :/ But I'll hope for something like 1-0 Anichebe (odds??). The Man Utd game is a massive test of resilience if anything, I'd go with this:

......................Howard

Neville...Jagielka....Distin.....Baines

..................Gibson

Mirallas........Osman........Pienaar

.....................Fellaini

..........Anichebe

If we show some balls & go more of a 4-4-2, Jelavic in for myself :p

I had a dream we lost 7-2 to Liverpool The other night lol

It'll be really interesting to see how we play against a side who we probably wont be able to dominate possession wise. I think lately we've been struggling to generate genuine scoring options because of crowding in the box, hopefully we'll be able to isolate Anichebe and get some run through the middle for change.
