That's right, it wasn't a win. So there's no buzz or uplifting feeling. Just relief we didn't lose again. I personally get some satisfaction from Everton beating a Benitez side.

It must feel strange living in a world without context. How would you not get joy out of stopping our direct rivals win the league in a season we have nothing else to play for?

Absolutely terrible management, bring on a defender when trying to hold on to a lead is only going to invite pressure. We were dominating them for an hour of the match & then absolutely folded from stupidity.

Piss weak, can’t even work the ball the penalty spot for a Hail Mary. How hard is it to work the ball to half way then put it to the edge of the box.

I thought I'd watch a game for the first time in months, nothings changed.

Thankfully I haven't wasted my time often by staying up until 4am to support this mess of a team. I love the club but right now this is embarrassing and honestly I've been having a blast supporting my Bucks in the NBA this season, so basketball has taken my attention over this dreadful Everton season.

I'll be back when Silva is out and we move on deadwood players, until then nothing will change.

I think the playing list is far more to blame than the manager. It was the same from Martinez, Koeman and Sam. Very mentally weak, no conviction or creativity with the ball, no work rate or runs into the box. No one willing to attempt one touch passing as they don’t trust their teammates will be there. Every time we force a turn over in our attacking half we reset rather than trying to take advantage of field position and the ensuing chaos. We generate absolutely zero from midfield centrally, yet no one presents when we take it out wide.

Siggy is either hitting worldies or is non existent, needs to find something in between his best and worst, especially considering how much Gomes and Gueye sit back.

I see the same things as I see in Essendon, a lot of nice guys that want to play cute technical football. Not enough campaigners that want to get dirty and make the unrewarded runs, or put body on body in the centre.

I’d like us to set up more aggressively, CL up front followed by Richie playing behind him, Bernard left and Lookman our right. Siggy can float in behind Richie.

This is why I think Silva will get until December, he needs a window to clear out the shite but he needs to improve rapidly. His meltdown at the end when the refs were leaving the pitch is showing he’s really feeling the pressure now

It's easy to say in hindsight. But I reckon all teams in the comp would reckon they're a chance of winning despite being 2-0 against Everton. Im the case of the top teams, 3-0 is not an insurmountable score line.

Siggy has been maligned a fair bit around here, but that really goes to show his impact would be much greater if we had more capable strikers.

3 on the bounce without conceding, 5 clean sheets from the last 6 games. Shame the Newcastle collapse happened but maybe that galvanised the team.

I wish it all clicked a bit earlier, but starting to really enjoy how we are playing

Could only watch the mini match, early say on the road this morning so I was no chance of watching it live.

I don't think I have watched any of the last 3 games live, maybe I should stay in bed for the rest of the season...

Great to see us bossing them around. Was a pleasant surprise when I checked the results.

Bernard seems to have come into his own, hopefully that carries over to next season too.

For mine the biggest change is DCL, did not see him getting to the level he’s been playing at for at least another year or two and even that seemed a stretch. Could be a genuine star if he goes up another level as well.

No way. He's still playing at League 1 level. Running and harrassing players while out jumping them is one thing, being able to take a good touch, pass and shoot are another. May I remind you that 3 of his goals this season have come from deflections?

He’s getting better with each game, that’s all we can ask

Who cares, goals are goals. And he’s clearly playing as something between a CF and a false nine so goals aren’t everything. He’s bringing others into the game and if Richarlson or Walcott were in form he’d be having an even bigger impact.

By no means do I think he is the sole answer, but get a genuine poacher at his feet and his value will increase even more.
