Good effort today by the young Freo players in Broughton, Deboer, Foster, and Hill, but when the game was there to be won our experienced players in Mcpharlin and Mundy who had absolute shockers ultimately cost Freo the game imo.
Add Grover,Bradley and Dodd in there as well who had shockers need to be moved on at the end of the year for this club to move forward, mistakes that are caused by young players are being caused by these hacks i have mentioned.

Very, very disappointed with Mundy and especially McPharlin today. They should both be embarrassed that the rookies put them to shame when it came to guts and determination.

If we didn't have so many injuries I'd be happy to see them both dropped to send a message. So sick of heartless performances from senior players.

I don't care that we have so many injuries. They should both miss out next week. Let's set some standards!

Its these players who are the problem and we wont get better until we are rid of most of them. Mcpharlin was a joke today and frankly he has always been overrated. Cant kick goals and all too often gives the ball up because he wants to take a hanger and be a hero . Grover , Dodd and Mundy are always going to be a drag because their best is average and their worst is terrible .

I was going to start a thread about McPharlin and Mundy but it looks like you guys beat me to it.

WTF is McP thinking with his SHOCKING kicking - not just goal kicking but a couple of ridiculous turnovers in the last quarter. I mean, I could kick the ball more than 10 metres if I had the chance - so why can't a professional athlete like McP??? I am furious with his hacktastic display - really cost us a chance today.

Mundy too. I was his buddy last year and I defended his lax efforts to the death, but the way he refuses to go hard in at the contest makes me sick at times. Sometimes he goes in hard and gets the praise, but just as often he hangs off the contest. Also, his silky disposal seems to have deserted him recently. One of his forward 50 entries in the last quarter was just awful - gave the marking player no chance and dribbled through for a point.

It's the experienced players letting us down, IMO. Dodd has become a usual suspect, so called skilled players in McPharlin and Mundy were awful at times today. :thumbsd:

Was Dodd really that bad today or do people just chuck his name in for the sake of it? Didn't see the game but listened to it on the radio and he seemed to do enough good things.

McPharlin was disgraceful today.

Where has Mundy's awareness gone? It used to be a big positive to his game but it seems to have dwindled recently.

If we had some fit big bodies to choose from, McPharlin would certainly deserve to be dropped after that shocker.

Dodd was pretty good today. Couple of turnovers but generally pretty good, helped to keep Ablett quiet.

Nope, Dodd was pretty good today as was Grover. I think we forget the job they do on the talls. They're not meant to star.

I'll tell you who was excellent today..the Duff man. He has a wise head on his shoulders and his slight frame actually works in his favour. Kicks miss a little but he's getting better..

IMO was Dodd's best game so far this year, really played well and i don't think he stuffed up that much compared to previous games/

71% Disp. Eff. 14 Disp and only 2 clangers. Better than previous weeks

Dont know who was worse, McPharlin or Mundy. McPharlin tried more, but coughed it up more. Mundy was half asleep and not aware we could actually win this game.

He was average today but his best is average . One incident today when he was marking Ablett . There was a ball up . Another Geelong player went up to Dodd and pushed him and niggled him and Dodd fell for it. I am shouting at the tv "Get Abblet!" but Dodd is suckered into retaliating and guess who gets 5 meters in the clear and gets 2 of the next 3 possessions. Dodd simply is not smart neither is Grover. They are mediocre quality who have a good game maybe 3 or 4 times a year. And when I say good I mean acceptable.

Mundy was pathetic and i think Mcpharlin is not 100% fit or otherwise just continuing on his merry way to a shocking season, The youngsters are a heaven sent coz some of the senior blokes need to take a hard look at themselves.

Campbell didn't do enough for me and Kepler did some good things but was mostly still Kepler,Grover is on a Slippery slope been poor for mine lately or maybe injured not to mention that he was off having a good time at a certain nightspot late into the early morning last weekend, not that he's not entitled to it given it was a break but it was more the state he and his two fellow docker mates were in when they were struggling to hail a cab on James st at about 7am.

But looking straight at Mundy and Mcpharlin and shaking my head, so dissapointed by their effort or non-effort.

oops guess i should of checked all the other threads before starting 1 on mundy an mcpharlin.

Mundy must be dropped his softness is killing us an when theres kids built like twigs putting everything on the line his efforts are a discgrace.

Mcpharlin must be kept back he has no 2nd efforts up forward an his kicking at goal an kicking in general is extremely costly.
It effects the whole team when after all there hard work he misses from 30m out right infront or just gives it away with lazy kicks.
Down back he is normally abit more careful with his kicking an when in doubt pumps it long to where players are so his kicking down back normally isnt a problem.
Put him in backline an stay there.
Next week Campbell can try CHF an maybe Ballas if fit can be small full forward option.

Yes we can drop those guys, its not like wins are important for us this year, its all about sending the messages anletting players know what kind of effort/performances are acceptable and whats not.
Mundy's was not acceptable an must be dropped for it.

In hindsight should we have traded Mundy? We probably would have recieved Hawthorn's pick 16 which would have allowed us to take Swift or whoever

Certainly looks like it would have been good to trade him.

Definatly wanted him to stay though but he has been very very poor this year.

Yep. Shame that.

You'd think Murphy, Head, Gilore and Browne will all get delisted..Mundy will stay, too far up the leadership ladder..

Elvis played his worst game ever today. FFS put him in the back line and leave him there.
Dodd was serviceable.
Mundy may have played a worse games for us, not many though.

I'd trade him now...dead set...heart the size of a pea and his sort of bull shit is not needed any longer

I thought Kepler was ok to NTB today. Back up ruck and picked up a few touches around the place.

Mundy was spare in defence for periods and this helped him avoid serious contact with anyone.
