French Connection clothes.

When I first saw the FCUK name on a store in Rundle Mall I thought it was rather rude at first.

Playing with words. Smart move.

When they opened their first Australian store on George St here in Sydney, they had a big sign on the window with a typeface(eurostyle sans-serif) that made it look like it said **** which read:

"EVERYONE WANTS TO FCUK IN AUSTRALIA"

Thought that was clever but yes you are right Rohan it is a European Country Road. Doesn't surprise me that you wear the clothes really..your demographic.

Well it is pretty big over here in London.

Shops on Long Acre (Covent Garden area), huge frontage on Oxford Street.

It's one of those 'cheeky' brands like Virgin that has been around for a number of years.

The clothes are good which is why it survives. The name and advertising are just there to get it noticed. Like the Sophie Dahl/Gucci advertisement. Sex sells.

funny concept at first but too tryhardish. I don't rate them as real designer!

Im with you on this one Spidey.......There are too many cr@ppy 'expensive' brand names at the moment.......I rate Industrie in this category as well........Satch is OK....

Satch has been around for quite a long time tho..... longer than this FCUK has anyway..... i think there is a bit of an influx, too much of the Golf Punk, M-1-11, etc etc etc.... Roxy is good and all as a Quicksilver womans range but it gets out of hand when there are too many brands to pick from..

We are always getting dudded with stuff like this, i tell ya!
Used to work in the clothing industry and the markups a joke.... its a killer cos i use dto get clothes at cost plus 10% NO MORE! :(

Don't mind brands such as Diesel, Epstein and the like in addition to these "nuff nuff" brands.

However some people buy Diesel clothes because it's made by Diesel and make shocking selections.

That's strange, because two of my best friends work in Torquay as designers for Quiksilver. One does Roxy, the other does mens & the Tony Hawk range.
They do the international range, it's just that we run a season behind. Thus we aren't dudded, just late.

Used to be quite into Armani and DKNY and of course am still obsessed with Calvin Klein. As for Jeans i have always gone with Gripp but since Satch at Chadston finally got with the times and actually brought out a range of jeans instead of just a few pairs i have liked what i saw and will prob go buy a pair when i get paid.

I notice Morrissey (spelling?) have brought out underwear now don't have anything in this brand is it good or wot?

suits and leather jackets are not bad. prefer Calibre, if you're talking melbourne labels.

Satch is very generic. Rove McManus wears their suits...'nuff said.
