Got this today and have enjoyed it so far well till i got to Monaco. Chose to sign up with HRT-Cosworth only had the one win in the first few rounds, first race finished 18th after being penalized for cutting a corner that Hamilton bumped me into and then followed up with dangerous driving after Button rammed me up the arse causing me to take out 3 cars in front of me finished 9th but after the penalties went to 18th.

Had a race to forget in Melbourne everything that could go wrong did go wrong mark Webber style. Kuala Lumpur was a nightmare come race day the rain is pissing down went to 5th after the first two corners after qualifying 15th got to the 2nd lap and thats well hell broke loose, i come of the track probably about 10 times in 2 laps . Got my breakthrough win in Shanghai and finished 15th in Catalunya after a strange pit stop cost me 15 places.

Now up to Monaco and wish i could just skip the race because theres no chance of me making it higher than 24th. No matter what i will always screw up with the first chicane after the exiting the tunnel, gets me everytime.

Anyone been able to go fromm the back of the field to win an online race without having everyone crash on the first corner?

I started from 11 at Montreal and made a blistering start only to be taken out in a 4 car crash at turn 1. Somehow made my way through the field and overtook first early on the last lap. There must've been lag because I was making clean moves but they were going everywhere, and then about 4 guys tried to kick me.

I hate those Degner corners. I can never get more than one or two laps in without messing it up on the entry and firing off into the sand. extremely frustrating.

Is that the 2nd last corner before you go under the bridge? Yeah that can be a bitch. I go from as wide as possible, slam on the brakes and turn right as hard as possible.

Thinking of getting a driving force wheel. Do you really need the pedals?

Monaco - Heavy Rain - Full Damange - 20% - Online = Death.

Racing a few Aussies, and I was the only one not to break my from wing. But I was also the only one to destroy my car. Lead for 6 laps my over 30 seconds to my next competitor and then oversteered ever so slightly into a barrier (straight after the chicane at the end of the lap) and lost my front left. It was weird as I'd been hitting barriers harder than that and copped no damage.

Well I have been dumped by Sauber because I was talking sh*t about them. I have an offer from Torro Rosso and Red Bull. Do the better teams have obviously better cars in career mode? Or are they the same thing with a different paint job? I am leaning towards Torro Rosso I would kinda like to win the championship with a mediorcre team.

I chose torro rosso. Kinda regret it but I did finish 2nd in the first gp. I'm lookin for nice skin for it.

Had a race where the first lap was literally a demolition derby. 7 disqualifications out of 11 by the time cars had reached the tunnel on the first lap. It was a chain reaction. Car would be disqualified, automatically slow down then one would ram up his arse and get disqualified then it would continue.

My fastest lap is 1.23.6 but it never saved ...my best saved time is 1.24.2.

Just got this game.. amazing...



..ly hard to get used to compared to the last racing game I played.. V8 2. Spent most of today trying to get used to Barhain. Qualified 1st, down to 11th after 2 penalties. Spin when racing and down to 21st and finally back up to 8th.

Just had one of the best finishes ever. Racing at China, had the chance to overtake this guy on the 2nd lap but we both ran wide. Coming second by about 0.25 seconds for most of the race then on the final lap he widens it to about 0.5. Anyway I'm thinking race over I'll come 2nd. Then the last corner he runs just a tad wide (probably only a car width), it gives me enough time to find a gap around him and get past him right on the finish line. It says I won by 0.1 seconds but it was probably something like 0.001 given the lag against Dutch/European.

Next race at Turkey I was leading for most of it, he overtook me at the end of the 2nd lap. He spins at the end hairpin (I was close but didn't touch him) and I win again. So good.

Borrowed this game off my cousin. It's really entertaining! Cant play online though

Went Virgin and won the Championship in my 1st season. Was playing on medium though, but am going to crank it up to hard for the new season. Just signed with BMW.

Monaco is an absolute bitch of a track. Failed to finish that race, also failed to finish 2 other races during the course of the season and they were both races in the wet. I struggled to adapt to the rainy races, such a massive difference, which is what you want. Managed to finish 4th in Belgium in the wet, but its an easy track.

One complaint about the game though, the ability to look at the schedule of the season, personal stats like fastest laps at certain course etc during the season.

codemasters make great racing games IMO, GRID was outstanding too.

Newbie question coming up.

Say I have a puncture, can I pit and change all four tyres and count it as the compulsory pit stop. Last time it happened only the punctured tyre was changed and hence the two pit stops.

It depends on what lap you pit I think, in longer races there is a "pit window" that opens up after a few laps, and if you pit outside that window, it doesn't count as your compulsory stop.

Better off using a flashback when you get a puncture, even with all assists off I still raced with 1 flashback, just in case I got a puncture.

Yes. It'll still come up saying you need to pit when you planned to, but just ignore it and it will go away after a couple of laps.
