Played this a bit more yesterday arvo after being out all weekend. Really starting to like it. For once you can feel the difference between the good and bad cars (my Lotus in career mode is terrible, unlike the big teams' cars in the time trial modes.) The marbles are a good addition too. Haven't bothered with online yet, liking career mode too much.

I love the new damage realism... Was in Pratice 2 for the German GP @ Nurburgring when I went to over take a slowing car and bang, puncture in my tyre, tyre flopping everywhere was lucky to get back to the pits.

I had one of my first fully wet races before at the Nurburgring, damn that was a long 20% race.

You can not accelerate in the corners, you simply have to accelerate on the straights and coast around every single corner, it's crazy.

We had a safety car too, my first, I was 7-8 seconds behind the leader (in 4th) when it happened, so I was happy, caught up, and over took them all going into turn one, then spun out at turn 3.:o

Fought my way back to 7th by the end of the race, crazy stuff.:)

Picked it up last night on my Xbox and took it for a spin on my new 51" Plasma which was EPIC. Felt like being in a simulator.

The game's a huge improvement on 2010, handling is so much harder which I like. DRS is crazy, even in a fairly flat high speed corner you lose so much grip, feels like you're floating above the track. Made the mistake of opening it too early out of Turn 2 at Melbourne and smashed up my front wing. :o

Gave India a go, seems fairly fun to drive, but then again so did Valencia and Catalunya. Seems like a combination of China and Malaysia, with a giant straight. Not expecting a great GP.

DRS is awesome in qualifying, being able to do it for all these little straights to gain a bit more time. Although, I've lost count of how many times I've forgotten to close it and the car has spun out going into a corner. Was racing Valencia last night, DRS light went on and I thought you beauty. As soon as I flick it on, car is sideways into the wall.

Watching the Gamespot review on Youtube it said this game will be hard to get used too if you're a novice. I am a novice but like car racing games and sort of know the basics of F1. Is it true that you won't get into it or do you really need to know your F1?

You'll be fine.

What teams are people racing in? I started with Lotus and now im with Sauber
I started with Force India, and I've almost completed my first season (20% races, and long weekends so it's taking a while).

Haven't got any great offers yet, Williams is about as good as it gets, might stick with Force India if I get no good offers for season two.

i'm also racing with force india, but no good offers so far. Ive no idea if the post race interviews mean anything.

I noticed a pretty clear glitch in the game.

Let's say you have chosen to start on Prime tires, and want to switch to Option at the next stop, but you accidentally press Intermediate, you actually can not switch back to your original choice if it is a one pit stop race.

I started on Primes because I qualified badly at the Indian track, then halfway through the race I decided to check if I was going to be able to switch to the preset Option tires, one lap earlier, but it wouldn't let me choose option at all.

Had to restart the race and just ignore the tire selection options.

OK, what the hell...

Just completed Q2 for Canada. After I looked at the leaderboards then went to advance to Q3, the game skipped me forward to the next race in Valencia. Didn't get to complete Q3 or the Montreal race... I look back on the calendar and it says I came 15th in the race when I didn't even get to run it, and placed 9th in Q2.

Stupid Bugmaters.

Blew my first engine in China - practice. Was having some fun and spun the car (with DRS on) going down the back straight. Car was sliding backwards, I can't remember if I hit accelerate or break, but the engine hit a high pitch and exploded.

The bugs in this game are starting to piss me off.

I'm into season 3 in my career, in a Lotus Renault, and on Legend difficulty now because on the level below it was too easy.

Problem is, every race it rains, I mean every bloody race. And that actually makes it easier, as the setup is so much easier to figure out in the wet then the dry, and no pitstops are required for a 20% race.

I want to race in the dry sometimes, but the first 3 races of season 3 have all been heavy rain, and I've won all 3 in a Lotus, annoying glitch.:thumbsd:

Started with Lotus, with Red Bull Racing now in my second season. Up to Race 18 and just clinched a double drivers championship. I really love this game. Everything else has taken a back seat. I love the speed and the realism. Well as much as you can get anyway. Everything about it is spectacular. Racing with a controller but would love to see how i go with a steering wheel. Reckon i could shave time off my laps at any circuit. Spa is the best track.:thumbsu:
