Great news, better driver than Fittipaldi and Mazepin (duh) and was happy with him if not Gio.

As someone on Reddit pointed out, it marks the first time since the existence of Minardi that every team has at least one driver who has a podium finish.

And yes I am a Mercedes and Hamilton fan but please not one second per lap dominance thanks. I may not have liked how the 2021 WDC ended but I loved the close contest throughout the year.

I'd be more uncomfortable than comfortable with that design!
How sure can they be those reduced side pods are actually going to cool the engine sufficiently for several races.

I guess it'll be same story.. Merc dominance and then just replace an extra engine every so often and win from the back on those occasions :-/

mfw Mercedes come out with no sidepods

Surely they've put it through the wind tunnels and ran a billion computer simulations on it - but no substitute for the real thing. Will be interesting to monitor how it goes during testing, but all that matters is Round 1, really.

These cars are so much stiffer than previous years, even when they're not bouncing down the straight they look like they would rattle your teeth out on the curbs.

Credit where credit is due, though, I like teams trying radical design changes (within the rules, obviously).
Wouldn't say some are within the rules, but that's for the FIA to gloss over like usual (DAS etc).

I'm hoping this is Mercedes Walrus nose. They've never been great at aero.

They only have finite time though as constructors champs. Unless they're breaking the rules like always.

It's an ugly design. If it proves effective other teams will copy it and we'll have an ugly grid.

What a surprise, the FIA playing the nothing to see here card. Don't think Ross Brawn is too happy though. We thought 2022 would be a great reset, but it's still just favouring Merc like always.

Teams will wait for the first race to protest it.
