Horner reminded everyone that they had similar issues with a young driver called Vettel at the start of his career.

Vettel didn't crash into people in his 3rd and 4th year on a consistent basis, he was winning titles. He was an arrogant snot, but he wasn't reckless.

They know Kimi hasn't got what it takes to win a title anymore so they can play him as such.

Dan is different, and Ferrari aren't afraid to have 2 similarly talented guys.

A point I think Brundle brought up at the time, this isn't a fresh faced rookie in his first year, this guy has been around for long enough now that these aren't rookie mistakes.

He didn't need to try anything that drastic though
The way the Red Bulls were going, he was going to clear all the cars quite easily and had plenty of time to do so. Vettel even said he had pretty much conceded the position to Max.
I even thought that Dans move on Bottas was a bit too tight and almost ended his race.

Well that race played out nicely!

Honestly thought it was all over on the Bottas move. Balls of absolute steel, but at the same time credit to Bottas for not wiping them both out. It was tight! Credit to Dan though who rarely makes contact, sublime judge of an overtake.

Vercrashen confirming beyond doubt what everyone already knew in regards to his flawed talent. He could probably stop confirming that now, though it's certainly bringing a level of drama to the season.

Lost a place at the start then went into sulky mode where he can't seem to find any pace.

They ended up on the slower strategy anyway, so he was cooked regardless but yeah not his finest weekend.

And just quietly, McLaren have got themselves to 28 points after 3 races. Bit of luck involved sure, but they would be delighted.

Quali pace needs to improve but the midfield battle is very close.

I amuse myself now by reading fb posts of people now looking to diminish Ricciardo's performances throughout his career.

Yeah. Relative to the cars they're driving, he's either been marginally the best driver, or marginally second best to Hamilton, in the current turbo era.
