I've played and finished it

For anyone wondering whether to get it or not...if you liked part 2 then get it but if you hated 2 then don't bother - it's essentially the same game, but with minor tweaks to everything.

Just a solid average game.. very little innovation from the second one, the golden trail is just as stupid, the dog still has a brain disorder, the villager interaction is even cheesier than before and the combat has not changed whatsoever, the enemies are even still exactly the same..

Still OK for one playthrough.. 6.5/10.

Pretty much summed it up for me. I enjoyed it but it's nothing extraordinary.

I ejoyed it, was pretty annoyed with
the dick move at the end of the game, where the countdown goes from 120-ish days to NONE, leaving Albion to effectively die at my hand :(
, and a few other niggles (not sure what Peter Moleneux has against maps? He's a ****ing cartographist or some shit - just draw town maps properly you goose. Oh and the old Western RPG fixture of haircuts that look shit and are rock hard) but for the most part i really liked it.

albion is a good setting for an adventure game. good script, good sense of humour, good cast. JOHN CLEESE IS YOUR ****ING BUTLER

Gets lots wrong, but gets lots right too. worth playing imo

Finished the game. With so many games to play at the moment I cbf going through it to grab all the other achivements so I'm finished with this.

The 1/3 of the game where you are king felt really tacky like they just threw it together.

This or Fallout 3? Bit torn at the moment.

I'm gathering you mean FO:NV yeah? Definitely get Fallout, the Fable series was hardly worthy of having one game produced, let alone three.

I hope this is finally the end of it because I don't mind Lionhead as a studio sans Fable. Black & White was a great game and I enjoyed The Movies, but I mainly just continue to hold out hope for them on the back of their Bullfrog roots. The time has well and truly come to bury this boring and unimaginative line of games though.

Oh shit, yeah that's right mate, New Vegas. Is NV a decent step up on 3 though?

Bang on with the comments there too.

Have you played Fallout 3, or any Fallout game for that matter?

It's Fallout 3.5 more than it is a fully new game, but I played the shit out of 3 and still found New Vegas more than worthy of my cash. I probably enjoyed New Vegas more in fact even though some of the shine had worn off it due to playing FO3 only about 6 months before.
The storyline, side missions and character interactions are much improved in NV, along with a far bit of other stuff, it's just that it's still using the same engine and a similar setting etc that may turn you off it a bit.

If you have played FO3 and enjoyed it, I'd definitely recommend getting it. If you haven't played FO3, I'd probably still recommend going straight to New Vegas considering the stories aren't intertwined really.

The only real reason I'd turn someone away from it would be the bugs, but I haven't had that many issues and they just announced a new big patch will be out in a week or two.

Yeah, just 3 though. You defineitly feel as if the choices in the game have more effect on the story than others.

Peter Molyneux should shut his mouth when promoting his games, has done no good.

Fable was 10 fold better than Fable 2, sounds like each game is taking a step back more than it's predecessor. Definetly shouldn't be called RPGs.

Yep. I really don't get the reasons behind some of their gameplay decisions. Which developer was stoned one night and came up with the idea to have a menu you have to physically walk around in?? :o

I don't mind the menu system (especially now that I've that each room has hotkeys on the D-Pad) but WTF were they thinking with the map. Why they didn't include a "You are Here" feature to it is beyond me and it isn't even accurate enough figure out where you are anyway. In Fable 2 I turned off the golden trail and only turned it on when I was seriously lost, I have to have it on constantly now.

I really liked the first 2 games but this one just feels like they've dumbed down aspects that were fine to begin with.

Jesus christ this was a big steaming pile of horseshit. Each game has become progressively linear and too simple with each one.

The game had plenty of potential, but was very sloppy in parts, the magic and combat system, as pointed out was way too basic. Never really felt like your decisions have an effect at the end of the game either - as evidenced by the closing scene of the main story.

This game should be handed over to a different developer, ol' Petey boy would have to be one the most naive kents in the gaming industry.

Feel bad for the great cast that lent their talents to the game. Hope they got paid well for it.

Should have left it at Fable 1.

yep, it's really average. Technically it was a joke. The framerate got so bad at times that it felt like you were playing in slow motion

but I think this series is here to stay because it sells pretty well. In fact I think it sold more than Mass Effect 2:o (I swear I read this somewhere but I can't find it). My sister and her BF bought this game to play together and I think that's the audience they're targeting

Is true, Fable 2 did big numbers, up around 4 mil. Fable 3 is at close to 3 mill, ME2 is only at about 2.5 still (just past ME1 numbers).

As of a few hours ago, this game is for free on the Marketplace. Just a heads up for anyone that maybe hasn't played it and is interested. Make sure to change payment option to 'Microsoft points' won't work otherwise.
