Don't add your work colleagues.
Make a 2nd fb, under the same name, add work colleagues and other associates who you don't want to see your personal shit. Put basic shit in, say you had to deactivate your old account, delete unwanted associates that you have to 'friend' from your main one. Everyone's happy. Profit?Got a co-worker that I regularly work with try to add me. I don't want to accept because she's nosy and talks a lot, meaning anything she sees on my facebook will get spoken about with various people at work. Not that there's much to hide, but I value the separation between business and pleasure so to speak.
In terms of mutual contacts, there is an ex-colleague of mine added (works elsewhere now) as well as someone that currently works with us but only on the odd occasion.
I know she's going to press me about accepting her request and I'm not that confident about handling this situation as I've never experienced anything like it before.
Advice?
Yes because your boss might see something that could have you sacked

Nah, you just have some who like to be snitches. So if you put up there "**** work blah blah" they go running to the higher ups.
That happened to me last year. I didnt get sacked but confronted by the Boss. Luckily i wasnt staying there much longer.Yes because your boss might see something that could have you sacked

Does anyone else have their status set as offline? Mine is as I cbf talking to my friends online. Prefer to do it IRL or on the phone.

Mine is always offline, unless I notice that my best friend who now lives in a different state is online, then I chat with her on there. Otherwise, not a fan of FB chat, IRL or phone is the way to go (also talk to my best friend on the phone, just for the record).
Don't mention work on facebook, whenever anyone mentions anything about work on facebook its always mundane, boring shit the world could do without hearing.
