Just five thousand bucks ahead of the Swamprats, the Roys are the next salary cap up. The Roys benefit from team loyalty with all of Mobbs' whopping salary and half of Mooch's off the books.
With Mobbs' salary off the books, the Roys have had the ability to throw a bit extra across their list. On almost a million, tigs2010 is another well paid member of the (much underrated) season 33 rookie class and is highly rated internally, as demonstrated by him taking over the Barrells Award. Amateur medium 3KZ is Football, former skipper fitzroybowiedog and the Crownie-loving denitist, DERRINALPHIL are all rightly well paid. A trademark of the Roys is a number of long-time players who chip in with a couple of posts per week and as such, the Roys salaries don't dramatically fall away with most of the list on 300k plus.
Returning player TheGoatBaron has proved one of the steals of the season and will undoubtedly be in for a sizeable salary increase in the off season.
NOTE: At the time of writing, Elmer_Judd was still perma'd and thus isn't included in these figures..

Another club benefiting from having a lifer and a veteran keeping a chunk of salary off their books is the Dragons. Ladder legend Ljp86's 500k salary and half of Pie 4 Life's salary off the books.
No one should be surprised that Greenery has himself nicely set up on a cool million a season (Greenery is a "cool head" after all), the surprise for some Dragons would be that it's not more. Then come a trio of posters who could probably earn more at many other clubs- Bonz, DragoDelph and Phenom. Speaking of underpaid, T2B_ and big_icky really need to change management companies with both on significantly less than they'd get on the open market.
The Dragons list is made up almost entirely of 's tier' and 'c tier' players with only seven on their list not classed in those two categories. Not only that, it has some unusual payments. One suspects they're a club with multiple spreadsheets on the go and good luck to anyone, including the ATO, trying to get a handle on the true state of financial affairs at the Lair.

The frequent car crashes also usually wipes out all the monumental progress on the weekly match reports that Greenery always keeps in a USB in the centre console.

Into the eleven millions we go and it's the Hawks who beefed (poultried?) up their squad in the off season. Two of the recruits, lifer larrikin and veteran Biggie, have returned taking some of the squeeze off their wage budget.
A significant amount of East Side's salary cap goes to their top-five paid players who, no surprises, are all 's' or 'a tier'. Strigoi's 1.1 million dollar pay cheque is not surprising as it wouldn't have been an inexpensive exercise to extract her from the Dragons. What is somewhat surprising is Tarks is on less than a million, however there is probably good money post-qooty on the speaking circuit talking about being the first to 1000 goals etc.
Zoops, TY24 and Giant Strides have all had impressive seasons so are likely to negotiate larger contracts for season 38. Even so, there will be enough in the bank to recruit another big name to the Eyrie. One wonders, what do Callums Guns and por_please_ya have up their sleeves...?
