The game has been stuck at 87% installed for about 10 minutes after it was going up at a steady rate and my internet is fine, ugh what the hell I just wanna play the damn game!

Initial impressions;

The world looks great. Far better looking than the Commonwealth. The sun shining through the trees is a nice touch.

Ambient music is probably the best since Fallout 3.

It is...very lonely. That is literally how I feel playing solo.

The scorched corpses are a bit of a sad sight.

I had fun last night set out to do some more of the main quest and try to get the plans for the water purifier so I can make vegetable starch for an easy adhesive source.

In true Fallout fashion I didn't get close to doing any of the main quests, wandered around doing other random shit and every time I went oh i'll go head towards the main quest now I found myself sidetracked by something else, you get constantly bombarded with side quests and randomly daily quests that trigger by proximity, or because the map is actually detailed now you get drawn towards different things on the map like the mothman museum or the giant turtle on the map
there is no giant turtle and I was very disappointed

It is a bit lonely wandering around on your own though and the lack of push to talk means the few people I did encounter had mics turned off anyway or were already in a team.

Had 2 quests bug out on me one is completely ****ed and one as suggested by others was fixed by logging out and back in again, problem is when you log you lose your server and thus lose any daily quests you may have been doing but that was the extent of my bugs in around 5 or 6 hours playing.

Had it running through steam so got the onscreen fps counter and with a gtx980 it didn't dip below 55 on ultra.

I did claim my first bounty fast traveled back to the vault and noticed a level 8 bloke nearby had an 18 cap bounty so I wandered over and lit him up with my shotgun, again this would have been better if people had voice chat turned on so you could taunt them before appearing to blow them away.

Overall it's not bad prob played almost 20 hours now with last night and the beta

Would be interested to group up and see what it's like though sterge10 in game on pc if anyone is keen

Anyone who pays full price from EB has more money than sense
only buy from EB if you plan on clocking the game within 7 days and exchanging it for another game

I get my preorders from EB just because price doesn't matter on preorders and I only preorder collectors editions.

But I will buy stuff from them when they have a good sale on

I like how they have managed the capture the immediate feeling of panic and mania as the bombs fell. Hearing holotapes of people who existed pre war and survived till now... it's a new experience and so far I'm enjoying it.

Some of the bodies look super fresh, like they only died a few days ago it's really weird

Seeing the Scorched run around is quite sad as well.

I gather the scorched turn into those red spiky blokes and eventually end up as the petrified corpses you find all over the place that turn to rad dust when you hit them. No wonder they need you to nuke the joint

Can someone tell me about any PvP content or interaction with other human players since playing the full release ?

I claimed one bounty last night just rolled up on a bloke while he was fighting scorched and drilled him 4 times with the pump shotty grabbed his junk and got the **** out of dodge before he came back.

Other than that it's pretty lonely because everyone has their mic's turned off, ran into one bloke in the middle of nowhere and used his camp and work benches for a bit sent a wave emote but he never replied just stared at me. Been in the same area as a few people but again no real interaction because everyone is either in teams or has mic's turned off on pc.

Haven't had anyone try to fight me

Quest breaking bugs should be unacceptable in games, but they seem par for the course with Bethesda. Seeing a lot of complaints about quest bugs.

Going back quite a few years they were some legendary ones in Bethesda games.....

Haha yeah, I never played Skyrim at launch, but heard about a few. Even today with all the fan made patches quests are still prone to breaking.

Going back further to Morrowind, that had some doozies !! Some great stuff to find as well, hidden significant items to give you an early boost....

About 5 minutes after i posted this was doing some shit in my camp and heard 'hello, hello'

So i replied we had a chat, he marveled at my collection of workbenches, we complained about the broken quest near my camp and he continued on his way.

I also unlocked a silencer for my guns, now i am a ghost a harbinger of silent death.

honestly im enjoying it alot so far and thats only playing solo havent seen anyone talking yet like ive tried but nothin ahah but still enjoying it

I'm getting into an argument on another forum about this. lol. The other person states that because the game is a 'spin-off' you're not allowed to compare it to previous Fallout titles. I'm saying that it still carries the Fallout name, the story is canon etc... basically cut and paste of Fallout 4 except for the fact it's online and has no NPC's. You know, kind of like a band that releases an album that's a little different in style from their previous albums, we should be allowed to compare them against each other etc.... What do you guys think? Because it's apparently a spin-off it's not comparable to previous Fallout's or otherwise?
Is the forum dominated by Bethesda fanbois who circle jerk onto everything they make?

Played for a few hours last night, a few notes

- Did feel a bit lonely in patches with no enemies or anything of note, well that was before I got to a town and found a Grafton Monster in the distance then went another way over a bridge and then hear something and turn around a damn an army of Ghouls . This was tense as I was still pretty low level and taking them all down was pretty damn satisfying.

- A few areas are pretty cool but have a real lack of anything cool to find to make it really worth your while

- radio is ****ing great, DJ would be cool though like in past games but not a deal breaker

- Bloatfly’s don’t attack me at all they just float around and do nothing, these bugs are bugged

- Item management is a pain I may need to start looking for scraps to help build up my CAMP and make a stash for my stuff that I need but I won’t use when travelling

- It’s fun so far, not sure for how long, still waiting on a few friends to get on when I do so most of it has been solo since launch
