We have two threads started by the same user about the same topic, this one hasnt been touched for 3 months and gets bumped by the same person who started the second thread two days ago.

You love Metallica fair enough, but why must you flood the board with Metallica constantly with things that have been covered numerous times?

Maiden and Metallica are my two favourite bands...hard to split.

At the moment I'm listening through the Black Album in full which I rarely ever do.

Actually ain't thought of a 3rd really...either Children of Bodom, Pink Floyd or Iced Earth. Nice mixture there :)

I miss the point of Pink Floyd and really, really dig Iced Earth up until Matt Barlow bailed. Haven't heard enough of Children of Bodom to form an opinion on them.

For me at the minute I'm getting into Opeth, Nevermore and even some DRL vintage Van Halen.

Ripper Owens is pretty good though. Not his fault that The Glorious Burden isn't an incredibly strong album. They are releasing two albums this year that follow up from the Something Wicked album with the epic 3 part song in it. Apparently the idea is for a trilogy...each part in the trilogy having 3 parts which...for those who excel in maths...gives a total of 9 parts of heavy metal heaven :D

Bodom yeah well the guitar is supurb with solos and riffs but the vocals well...not everyone's cup of tea :) If you don't like the vocals then perhaps try out Sinergy which features the same 2 awesome guitarists but a chick singing and she has a fair voice (doesn't sound like Arch Enemy thank God)

Iced Earth had a good singer on Night of the Stormrider...not sure who but he only did that album and was booted off because he was an antisemite.

If you've had the priviledge to see Metallica live, Creeping Death is by far their best song

They stop playing just before "DIE" just the bass line being punched James yelling "ARE YOU READY MELBOURNE" and then the whole crowd going "DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE" ahhhh raises the hair on my neck!
