What tv shows are people fans of at the moment, if any ... and not counting sports shows?

I am a fan of the new Mark Loves Sharon show. It is a bit weak in parts, especially the two friends but it is also hilarious in some places. It is done pretty well. For Aussie comedy on a commercial station it is relatively high quality. I'm hoping Mark Wary makes an appearance at the Brownlow this year!

Two And A Half Men is the only other show I watch on commercial tv. I think it's hilarious, and I can relate to a little bit of Charlie and a little bit of Alan so am always laughing at their idiotic womanising or attempted womanising antics. The hour long ep last nite was a classic, especially when they did the blue light test in Charlie's bedroom :D

Rock Of Love is back on Fox for season two! Woohoo! I love this show, def the best reality show anywhere I reckon. Where Bret finds these motley crews of freaks and babes I don't know. Being a huge fan of Poison back in the day I love it when the girls sing the old songs. It's on at 9pm 2nite ... can't wait! Anyone else watching this piece of television genius?

That's about all I watch. Not a fan of all the crime shows, cooking and gardening instructionals or choirs and psychics battling it out against each other. In fact I have written a letter to TV Guide this week to that effect. There isn't a lot else on the box these days. And people complain there is too much sport on?! We need more! :)

Mark loves Sharon is ordinary at best, which is actually quite high standard for commercial TV.

Watching the premiere of Hollowman as I type so the jury is out. I doubt it will capture the heigts of Frontline, but if they get close it will be worth watching.

On watch only a handful of shows other than sports.

On Foxtel I will usually tune in for the Daily Show with John Stewert and the Colbert report. You will need somewhat of an understanding of american politics to find this humorous.

Was a big Seinfeld fan back in the day, there has been nothing close since. However I do recommend then any Seinfeld fans do themselves a favour and get hold of the Curb your enthusiam series starrring Larry David.

This show is gold Jerry, gold! There was an ep last week where Larry was wearing golf clothes cos he was told he looked good in them. People didn't believe he wasn't actually going to play golf, he was told, amongst other things "You're sick" just for wearing them as casual clothing.

You are harsh on Mark Loves Sharon. If nothing else, mute the sound and just have a gander at Shazza and her friends! Wary was on the money with that multiple choice question about what to do if you see a girl really drunk at a nightclub. Definitely don't take her back to your place for sex ... as he said "Not with Sharon here, no way!"

Forgot about Family Guy, that is hilarity at its finest.

As said before Daily Show and Colbert are very good value. Why on earth Foxtel changed the times i do not know, was better late at night. :rolleyes:
 
I'm more of a fan of tv shows from way back... shows like Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Sex & The City, plus an oldie but a goodie.... Golden Girls. Its even better now that I'm older, I can understand the 'grown up jokes'. :)

As for now, Law & Order SVU, Gruen Transfer, Spicks & Specks, Prison Break, Lost.

Absolute gold. Watched all of it in my uni holidays, all except the last episode of season 4, which for some reason I don't have. I read somewhere they are making a new series, coming out in the fall for the US I think I read. Can't wait.

Scrubs, south park, Law and order:SVU, dexter, ) and NCIS is all i really watch on tv these days.

I would watch Curb your enthusiasm if it was on earlier but 9 put it on at 2am so i just buy the dvd boxset.
 
Dexter was a brilliant show, I hope they have a third season soonish. I still watch Lost, but it is losing some of it's 'favourite' type appeal to me :( Top Gear is always good, the Australian version will be horrific though.

As far as favourite non-sports based shows currently, I guess it would have to be Code Geass R2.

This is an awesome show! I love it!

I reckon it is better than Underbelly, u get a lot more action and better acting too :)

Nobody else a fan of Rock Of Love? U r missing out people!

I love Bret's catchphrase "In some sick way it kinda turned me on" ha ha.

last ep of season 4 was brilliant.. youve got to see it!

think the new series was affected by the writers' strike but has started shooting now.

for all arrested development fans- there's supposed to be a movie coming out next year. brilliant!
