See, I would have decoded that as "Birthday coming up soon, but I probably won't do anything as I have no friends and nobody will turn up" - but maybe that's just why I never did anything for my birthdays back in the days when the years could be counted without risking breaking the brain with the sheer size of the numbers involved.

No no no, it's "birthday coming up soon and I'm posting this so you all remember and I'm suggesting not making a fuss to make sure you all make as big a fuss as possible".

Someone who really didn't want a fuss wouldn't even mention their birthday at all.

My birthday was last month and I'm living in a housefull of people who wouldn't have known when my birthday was. I certainly didn't want any fuss or party at all, and hadn't mentioned anything... The night before the day I eventually mentioned it because, let's face it, a little bit of recognition is kind of nice...

But there was little time left for a fuss to be made. A few drinks at the pub on my birthday was all that eventuated, and it was nice...

A flog posting about their birthday in that manner over facebook is screaming out "PLEASE HOLD A GIANT F*CK OFF PARTY FOR ME OR I WILL RESENT ALL OF YOU"
 
Girl just posted a photo of her cats vomit. A couple of minutes later, posted a photo of her cat eating the vomit.

But this is the best possible birthday.

My 21st will be held on a saturday and will probably just involved turning up to a WAFL final with a few mates and then watching the evening AFL final with mates alongside a greasy fish and chips meal.
And then finishing it off at the casino.
 
A friend on my fb just shared a post from a girl in america which was a photo of a guy on a train and the caption read

"If this is your husband, I have endured a 2 hour train ride from Philadelphia listening to this loser and his friends brag about their multiple affairs and how their wives are too stupid to catch on. Oh please repost ..."

You'd be happy for any conversation you've ever had in public to be interpreted by some eavesdropping stranger and posted on the web for millions to see? And for them to take your photo without your permission and post that with it?

I agree. What she did was completely inappropriate. If he is cheating and bragging then he is a scumbag but even scumbags have rights. Doesn't excuse her actions.
