What happened?
The CEO and founder of Bikinis (girls serving chicken wings and beer in bikinis and short shorts) who refers to the chain as a "Breastaurant" sacked a girl because she wanted to be more than just a bikini girl as a career. Is going to pay for another one to have a boob job because she wasn't happy with her B cups.
But the funniest part was where one of the girls said to the camera that she really likes her job because all she has to do is look pretty and pour beers "which I can do" with a proud smile.

Hey, they're just making the breast of the situation.

This has probably already been posted by tesseract but I found this quite interesting to watch. Three different women with three different views talk about historical feminism, modern day feminism, domestic violence, rape culture, the patriarchy, injustices of both genders, the wage gap and the general spill of things. Involving Karen Straughan, Naomi Wolf (one of the supposed leading feminists in America) and another non feminist woman.

When the topic was brought up of rape culture towards the end, Wolf brings up how only 6% of rapes are prosecuted and watch how this vile feminist calls Karen a Rape Apologist when she explains how rape is very difficult to prove and prosecute (46:35 - 48:05).

Apart from that Karen and the other woman pretty much tells it like it is while the feminist in the red dress acts holier then thou at the beginning and then loses her cool and cracks the shits when her rhetoric is exposed.

I watched the whole thing. It was a crappy debate. The moderating was woeful and it would have been better if Karen Straughan and Naomi Wolf had gone head to head.

Wolf has a reputation as the 'leading spokeswoman of the third wave of the feminist movement' but she comes across as a lightweight. She did not make one decent point as to why it is valuable to view the world through the feminist perspective. Her tactic was to keep making cheap, banal points expecting the audience to applaud. It failed.

43.50 And the whole point is, you know, we're men and women. So let's take men and women seriously, because we are on the planet together.

Straughan's look said it all - WTF are you talking about?

Then when all her bullshit had fallen flat Wolf pulled out the victim card.

50.20 I do need to say something as someone with sexual violence in my background. blah blah waffle
She is talking about an incident in 1983 where she alleges a man put his hand on her leg.

3 smart women having an interesting chat about complex issues. Wolf probably raised the most thoughtful points. e.g. yep rape is difficult area to prove and prosecute but the figure of 6% is very low and something that needs to be addressed.

That was Wolf

rape is difficult area to prove and prosecute

That was Straughan. Wolf's response was to call her a rape apologist.

The often quoted 6% figure should be examined also. The Stern Review looked into it.

The way the conviction rate figure for rape is calculated is unusual. Conviction rates are not published or even measured in this way for any other crime so it is very difficult to make a comparison. The use of the term ‘conviction rate’ is in itself unusual. ‘Conviction rate’ usually describes the percentage of all the cases brought to court that end with the defendant being convicted. When dealing with rape the term has come to be used in a different way and describes the percentage of all the cases recorded by the police as a rape that end up with someone being convicted of rape. The figure arrived at is usually around six per cent. Some studies show that a further six per cent are convicted of another offence, usually a less serious sexual offence, but still convicted, so the conviction rate by this method of analysis is 12 per cent.

In the course of this review we have looked closely at the information about convictions for rape and we deal with this matter in more detail in Chapter Three. It is clear to us that the figure of convictions for people of all ages charged with rape is 58 per cent, as the term is normally used in relation to crime.

I'm all for equality.

Where's the "chesturant"
for women? I want to be served beer from muscly shirtless men, who can be proud that they can serve beer...
I used to go to the gym with a guy who was as buff as can be and he served drinks in the almost nude to women to help pay for his Uni education.
"Madame Josephine's" it was called and it was owned by the same guy that owned the Crazy horse (Adelaide's premier strip club if there is such a title).

I talked to him about it and he said women were as feral as can be, they were always groping him (front and back), stuff that any man would get kicked out of a strip club for within seconds. They were slurring and falling over and drooling an said it was quite unattractive and said he would end up with sore ballz by the end of the night from being squeezed to hard.
