Interesting the events of the brownlow involving Brendon.
He was sitting next to Judd all night , I think ordinary and a demonstration of poor leadership by Judd not to pull him up ??
Should we target him ??
I say certainly, his best mate is our captain and think playing together is the best fit for both ??

We want to build a young list after failing in the past with top-up after top-up and you want to recruit a 29 year old (by the start of next season) who will cost an arm and a leg who has trouble holding his alcohol and is in news every week for acting like a complete tool? :o

Watching him at the Brownlow street talking was funny as! Although I do agree that he should know better.

As to the Judd comment made before, All the captins recently made a ad for drinking and violence. Judd should have told Fev to pull his head in earlier in the night.

Bloody Chris Judd!!! What's the story with this guy??? I know he may have had more pressing matters like being filmed live on National Television every 3 minutes as he came Runner-Up in the Brownlow but bloody hell. Sure he had every right to enjoy the night with his girlfriend and have a quiet drink but he should've gone over and disciplined a bloke in his late twenties and told him to pull his head in. When will Chris Judd learn? They should fine him $5,000! Plus he allowed drug problems to fester in Perth.
When is he going to finally take responsibility for other peoples actions?????
He makes me sick!!!!!

Agree Crowns excuses are flimsy but that's a cracker of a rule about drunk people on the premises.
If that was rule was implemented, and thank God it isn't, every pub and club in Australia tomorrow would be closed. Be exciting to see the return of Al Capone!

Yeah I know but that's what we got told.

So yeah it would be a tough rule to implement...but then again in Fev and Crown's case with video footage...I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.:thumbsu:

so if carlton sacked him, and he was in the psd - would you take him at pick 2? worked with cuz....
As talented as he is I would steer well clear. Cousins may have had issues off the field but he never had issues on the field and leads by example when it comes to footy. This is one Miller trade I am glad never went through.

Yeah I agree (with your sarcasm). Its rediculous when Richmond supporters knock Judd. We would be praising him every week if Richmond were able to get him to the club.

Fevola and Solomon were two players that Miller was ready to sell the place for.

Kicked nearly 100 goals last season.

For all his antics, which I think are overblown by the media, the bloke can play footy.

Definately overblown by the media and can definately play footy - but TBO he's just not worth the headache.

Lets focus on the kids and build our own list of champions. :thumbsu:

Oh yeah, so it's fine to be in ad preaching about alcohol but it's too much of an effort to practice it?

He is the club capt and as a mate I'm sure he could have seen early on that Fev was heading down that path. I'm sure as a team mate and as a friend he could have done alittle more.

Yes, Fev is a grown man and can look after himself. I'm not blaming Judd but just saying that someone who was just recently in an ad to stop alcoholic violence maybe could have done alittle more.

Well maybe Judd did say something to him, who knows.

But I don't think anyone could stop Fev drinking as much as he did Mon night. Once someone has their mind set they are going to have a big one, its pretty hard to do anything about it - especially when you are Brendan Fevola.

I hate this theory. Fevola is old enough to vote, drink, smoke, drive and go to war so it's not Chris Judd's responsibility to babysit him. Judd should be given zero blame for Fevola's behaviour.
SEN and other footy shows said someone at the club should've stepped in. He is a friggin adult for heavens sake!!!!!!! His actions are his responsibility, just like Joe Blow's are down at the local!

P.S Where was Fev's dildo? Didn't it get an invite to the Brownlow?
I had a mate who played for the kangaroos in the early 80s. He reckoned whenever they started to play up a bit at club functions, Gary Dempsey would come down on them like a ton of bricks. The leadership at Carlton has been weak as piss in the way it has handled Fev, from the president down to the playing leadership. As for fev, he has proven plenty of times that he does need someone to babysit him.

What a great example Fev has provided the Carltank crew. It was the complete package containing, moronic humour, stupidity, intoxication and self destruction much to the delight of Mr Kernahan. What the hell is Ratten doing?... S*ftc**k I say, and something Hardwick would not tolerate!

And also it's illegal to have a drunk person on your premises. So that Crown official that came out and said "Well we asked him to leave....but he's a big boy".Bullshit. Doesn't matter, got to kick him out.

If any pub, club used any of those excuses they'd lose their licence. Fact.

Bang on ... and i have seen what "Crown" does when it wants someone removed from its premises , LMAO @ the "He is a big boy" line .

If it were joe public they would have 8 goons on them in 5 seconds flat pressure point city and unconcious on the prominade with no-one knowing how it really happened .

Simple premise Tucker ... only the niave' think that there is not a rule for some and a rule for others ;)

Regards recruiting him .. i thought better of you PTF ... ****wit of the highest order Fevola . Someone said they are glad he is at Carlton , so am i , they will never win a flag with that buffoon standing in the square . More fool them

chris newman (being his best mate) would have stopped him :D

I've actually seen Fev every bit as pissed as he looked at the brownlow, admittedly only from what we've been shown, and Chris Newman has put him right in his place and Fev has certainly listened !!

Brendon's general behaviour, especially when pissed, could be an indication that he may have a undiagnosed condition, and yes funny to laugh at , but true friends would assist him by letting him know when he is going overboard, something I don't think he can access, which is more obvious when he is drunk !!
Its generally called class clown, but from those I've seen there is generally underlining problems, which aren't diagnosed till later in life !!

I posed the question Iddy, which I think given we desperately need a key forward was valid. ;):thumbsu:

Just seems a bit interesting how Crown is starting to make the rules. First it was the short term credit they issued to problem gamblers, then they kicked out the police representation on site who were there to stop money launderers and "gangland identities" from being there. Now they can apparently make a different set of rules re: liquor licensing based on the celebrity of a person.

Just shits me how I've got to waste a day every 6 months or so having all these new rules and amendments rammed down my throat and being tested on them when they apparently don't have any consequences when not followed in reality.....for some.

We would take him if we could get him ... if Hall can get another run with his 'onfield' brain farts Fev. who only goes feral when he hits the turps would be a far superior gain.

Having seen parts of the interviews on the footy show I doubt Juddy or anyone else could have pulled Fev into line that night ... you would have needed 3 or 4 burly security guys ... Fev's brain was in neutral.

Lots of ability, lots of baggage ...

Preseason draft Burgoyne to Melbourne Fev to Richmond maybe :D

No, no, no, no, no. If our window for a premiership was open and we needed a forward then yes but we are at least 6 years away from that and by that time Fev would be finished and we would have a hole at FF we need to find a FF over the next year or two and develop him ourselves so that when the window opens he is ready to go.

Wasn't FEV a Richmond supporter?

Wasn't FEV a Richmond supporter?
Yes, and Newman, his mate growing up, was the Carlton supporter growing up. Get him back with his little buddy, and make sure he understands he will not be treated with the same complacency as he has been at Carlton, and we should be able to get him for a reasonable price!!

fev wouldn't want to go to richmond unless it was the last team in the afl that wanted him
How can you go so brilliantly right with your footy team and so horribly wrong with your choice of car

I would rather David Bourke back than Fev.

Chris Judd has made it patently clear at a function that he was far from impressed.

Judd not happy

From above article said:
Speaking at a pre-Grand Final corporate function, the usually measured Judd launched into Fevola when asked about his regular behavioural problems related to alcohol.

"I think he's embarrassed himself again, and his family, and the entire football club, and it's becoming a regular occurrence," Judd said.

"It is getting to the stage where Brendan can not handle his alcohol."

Judds dissaproval has been taken into account and will carry some weight in the the meeting between Fev and Sticks who might need to rip his drunk singing effort after the 87 Premiership off youtube first.

Dont see Carlton deciding to trade him.

Personally I don't give a shit about what players do off the field. The night at the Brownlow seems like a regular night for most blokes when they get together. There is always one ******** but everyone forgives him the next day.

But in these days of microscopic media attention it will be interesting to see how Carlton handles this one. If they let him off AGAIN, the message to the playing group is some are more equal than others.

I think he will be put up for trade. I just don't want him coming to Richmond.
